hi so much thanks for this video. just found the solution. there is a tiny ic on the other side of the board which is need to be resoldered. near the sata port. that gonna fix the sata 5v problem

2.9v is better than nothing, but i would also try an other power supply. 4,5-5v is recommend.

Hola che, también de por acá y con el mismo problema. Me pasa lo mismo, al principio el disco funciona y después se queda sin voltaje... Probaste esta solución? Mi temor es llevar 5v cuando, de a momentos, hay voltaje... No sé sumará y jodera el HDD o algo asi? Saludos!

Have the same issue HDD not detected intermittently 3 different HDD same issue also HDD makes beep like noise like a faulty HDD but its not faulty when an SSD is not detected either

@@NSC-Modz with my amateur skills I managed to tackle the issue directly on the 5V rail replace Ti chip and 2x 10k ohm resistors it came back to life now gonna run tests for days and see if it’s fails again (odd 1 resistors value was jumping around)

Hi Just saw this comment right now. You can test it with a multimeter without HDD and see how much voltage you gonna have. But even if you got more than 5v you can solder a resistor so that it will not go over 5v Best Regards
