@MyKeyReviews The charging is decided by the Dualsense Controller and NOT the charger. This is true regardless if you use a charging station or a USB-C cable. All the charger does is convert the power from your wall outlet into a useable format (i.e 5V/1A). So, there won’t ever be a problem with overcharging the controller. This concept is true for all user electronics with rechargeable batteries (phones, tablets, laptops, headphones, etc.)

I enjoy the charging station, I think it’s easier than plugging in the controller every single day when it dies. I wasn’t sure if it would be a waste of money or not but I actually really like it.

@@yxz5198 it’s not hard, I plugged in my DualShock 4 every day since I got the PS4, but when you add it all up you’d have to plug in the controller hundreds of times vs never having to at all. Also I can’t tell you how many times my charging cord broke and I would just have to buy a new one. The accessory isn’t for everyone, it’s far from necessary but still cool.

@@ashbinx maybe around 2 hours. 3 hours at the absolute most. I don’t wait for the controller to die to dock it, when I’m done playing my ps5 I basically put the controller back on there. So it’s always charged.

Download an app called Hotstock, then set alert for the charging station. You will get an alert straight to you're phone with a link straight to the website when its instock. I managed to grab one yesterday using that app but you gotta be quick as they fly out of stock pretty fast

Don't get why they did not power the charging station with a usb-c cable it's 2020 after all, the only negative about this. The switch manages this with its docking station. Makes transporting this a little bit more of a pain as its another cable to carry.

Thanks. As for the table, there's nothing wrong with it, the table itself is an orange/yellow wood and I wanted a different look, so I tried using some graphite dining slabs to go over the top; had to combine two to cover the field of view.

Yes, you can safely leave it on there even after it's fully charged. So it doubles as somewhere to neatly keep your controllers together. :)

I bought a usb-c cable to charge my Dualsense, but it still doesn’t charge unless it is connected to the system and not an outlet. Do you know why this could be? It doesn’t seem to work with any outlets. Hoping this charge station will fix that, even if I only have one remote for now.. Or better yet figure out a way to get the cords to work in an outlet!

The instruction manual states you can connect the DualSense to a PS5, computer or other USB device to charge, so it's very odd that some devices/outlets won't charge it... Shouldn't be any different to other devices getting charged so very odd. 😯

And now my brother wants to play co op in CoD, so I guess he’ll be buying a second remote, so it works out with the charge stand (unless the charge stand doesn’t even charge this remote... hope that’s not the case).

The only time I've had an issue with the PS5 being in rest was when an external HDD attached but to solve that I needed to make sure power was always going through the USB ports 😬 The charging dock is much more convenient! 😁

I believe they're about the same in regards to charge time; except this can charge two at the same time, keeps them in a neat place and easy to put on/off. It offers a lot of convenience but isn't a necessity.

It should pulsate an orange light. When it stops it should be fully charged. Have you checked to make sure your controller isn't full battery?

Cellphones/smartphones typically use USB-C, Micro-USB or Lightning cables, this has a barrel connector and the other end plugs directly into a power outlet. Though to answer the power output of the AC adapter, it's 5.1V - 2.8A - 14.3W.

To my knowledge, it pulsates orange whilst it's charging. Keep it on for an hour or so, when you use it with the PS5 and check the battery level, if it's full then you know its working as it's supposed to. 😁

Nice product. Bought it few months ago. But now i use silicon skin on my dualshocks, they don't fit anymore on the sony charger, and i don' want to cut in the cover to make it fit to charge. Anyone who bought other docks which charge via the top of controller, when still the silicon cover is on? (usb-c) . For example the Drivv dock looks good, but dont want to remove sil cover, its very brittle...

The charging station knows when the controllers need to be charged or not, so you don't have to worry about overcharging. :)

Give it a couple of hours and check to see if the controllers have gained charge, if they have you know it's working. If not, you should be able to get it replaced. :)

Wasted money on a cheap 3rd party Dualshock 4 charger a few years ago and it didnt work well.......sometimes charged thr controllers fine, other times they went dead within an hour, it was hit or miss. I can now confirm they both pulsate orange/yellow light when both controllers are charging. If only one lights up, most likely it's already charged. 😁

Apparently it's the same amount of time. The dock is more for charging two at one time, freeing up USB port space and a neat way to store them. :)

It's three hours for a full charge, not sure how long it takes when using a USB-C. This dock it very convenient for neatly placing your DualSenses and charging them whilst not in use.

In all honesty, I'm not sure. US is 120V and India is 230V? So I would assume you need an adapter of some sort. I'm not an electrician, so not an area I know much of.
