I did every step. Nothing worked. I almost reseted my whole ps5. But then i thought maybe if i pull out the power cable out of my ps5 while its on it might work. And it did. Idk if this helps. I would recommend not pulling it out first. First do all the steps. And if they dont work. This might be the solution

Great news for anyone still struggling with this, I MIGHT have a fix. I recently had this issue and I tried most things although for those who can’t see the screen and can only hear it which is what I had I went into my tv setting and had my picture mode changed, I normally had it on game so when I went back to game it showed up for me. Idk if this’ll work for everyone so maybe trying them all will work.

Remove it from the wall outlet and put it in another one for a min or if you are a adult flip the house breaker it's probably just your plug in not putting correct amps at the right time say it's in rest mode and it stays like that it's ready for a different amp when it's turns on so the plug in has to do more work as well as the breaker don't forget to hold power and wait for the double beep after that just keep your system from going into rest mode automatically it throws it of when it's not connected directly

Just had to unplug my tv and plug it back in and I saw the safe mode on my PS5. After 20 minutes of insanity from Sony, it’s finally relieved. The first time I tried to turn on my Ps5 and this happened! Thanks for the video.

I fixed, your tv doesn't support hdmi 2.1/ 2.0 so it won't turn on the screen. Try an older hdmi

@@Ackky1 did you try unplugging your TV power cable? I was unable to get to safe mode and rebooting my TV fixed it. Same cable and same TV had no issue with other hdmi sources, only with the ps5

Try a different monitor or tv, since you had a power outage hopefully nothing was damaged. Make sure to always always always use a surge protector.

Tried rebooting in safe mode, still no picture at all so had to follow the video to navigate blindly to the restart ps5 option... In getting sound, controller feedback, menu options on my tv etc - just no picture at all other than that murky darkness known as the standby screen

Since you are getting a working signal when in safe mode I think you are probably one of the cases where you will have to do a full on factory reset. If that ends up being the case let me know.

Only thing I can suggest is to make sure it’s shutting down fully, you can’t go to the safe mode menu from sleep/rest mode.

Make sure you also trying a resolution other than 4K. If it’s still doing the same thing do a factory reset through the safe menu. After that it’s time to send it off for repair or replacement.

I think I fixed it! Try to unlink PS5 from your tv. For some reason I tried this and the black screen stoped. My PS5 turns on but sometimes the screen does not display anything, but the sound is still on. The PS5 linked tv option is broken

Hey to anybody that this didn’t work for. I had to go to option six and factory reset my ps5 for it to actually work again. Unfortunately you have to delete everything you have. But it’s better then sending it off for repairs.
