It would've been over 1k with an edge controller and no disk drive. Me personally, I love the PS5 pro and have no need for a disk drive. I've built up a library of over 400 digital games on my PS5

It's a great buy for anyone who loves Ps5 and has the cash to upgrade. Ive seen reviewers say stick to ps5 if you have one but there's many people who don't enjoy the low resolutions and fps dips that are becoming more frequent in the latest releases. I've been impressed with it so far!

@mrbobajango7482 and you the same won’t happen on the Pro. This is the exact same scenario the PS4 pro except the PS4 Pro had some impressive titles that showed it was somewhat justified to exist. Then a year in games releasing were already struggling in the Pro up until the PS5. This is combination of poor software optimization due to publishers wanting to release their games asap not matter how broken they are and poorly designed hardware, in the case of the ps5 pro coming out when the majorly of people don’t want better visuals and what they do, release with better gpu and the same slow cpu…

The pro imo is a consideration if you want those under performing games boosted. I don't think ps4/pro are worth comparing to this generation. Forza Motorsport 2023 looks better on PC than GT7. But GT7 is much more interesting game. I spent 550 hours in GT7 and 390 hours in Motorsport.

Honestly, even though the price was a bit high, i am loving the PS5 Pro!!! Everytime i used to play on my base PS5, i used to switch to Fidelity mode in some games just to see the quality and details of graphics for a brief period to WOW the works of game developers but always had to switch back to performance mode. But now with PS5 pro, i ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Every frame is beautifully crafted, clean and smooth with even small details are so clear. I would highly recommend if you have a 4k tv already, go for the Pro, you wont regret! Yes, its expensive, but worth the money invested until PS6 comes, (maybe 3 or 4 years) instead of regretting to play games in its maximum potential. Just my humble opinion 😌

I am really impressed with RE4 at 80fps in quality mode with ray tracing and hair strands affects turned on. Demons Souls also looks and plays amazing. Tried Batman Arkham Knight and Fallout 4. I'm not sure if that PS4 enhanced option is doing a whole lot. I expect more with that feature personally. Hoping a lot of these upgrades like RE4, 8, and no mans sky carry over to PSVR2 at some point. They need to support the VR features

I played two games this evening with VRR enabled - Stellar Blade and The Descendant. The fps in the former was very nice, I had it set up with the first of the new Pro graphics modes and it looked great but I spent a lot more time looking at TLD because I recall it being sub-par, and compared to the PS5, it’s now playable without any complaints - previously the resolution had a grid-like look to it to increase performance, but now it’s ultra crisp and smooth fps. Seems I could either play in default Balance mode without RT, or with RT in performance mode, with both being smooth. From what I’ve seen so far in a couple of hours, I’m happy with my purchase, it’s indicative of having enough oomph to resolve the complaints I had either the last model. I’m playing on a 65” A95K, sitting about 5 feet away. I can’t see anyone buying this being unhappy.

Horizon zero dawn and Horizon forbidden west are eyecandy on the ps5 pro. If you buy a gpu from 2000 they don't bring a keyboard and mouse in the box. And al the complete pc and laptops also don't have a disc drive in the box 🤪 699 how is that expensive for the hardware you get?

You will never ever buy a pc with the same specs for the same 699 price tag. Maybe its older hardware but for a console its super powerful. And i can sit on the cough and enjoy it on my big oled tv. A lot of people do not want to sit behind a desk, and have to tweak all your games.

PS5 Pro is a great platform for games. I have RTX 4080 Super and I envy to all PS5 owners. Yes, graphic on RTX 4080 Super and fps in much better than on PS5 Pro, but many games have stutters on PC, and it can't be fixed. I can't play Returnal with stable frametime, I can't play Dead Space Remake without traversal stutters, I can't play Until Dawn without stutters too (cos of bad Unreal 5 engine). I can't p;ay Ghostrunner 2 without stutters (and nobody knows how to fix it, even Linux and Vulkan has this problem). I hate PC gaming cos of stutters. Game developments can't make game optimization for PC. It's funny, butthe most of PS5 games on PC have the best optimization (like Spider-mna, The Last of Us, God of War, Days Gone)

So far I feel like the most notable improvements are in games like god of war ragnarok, which that one is basically just 60fps+ at the image quality of the original fidelity mode. And the 60fps mode for horizon forbidden west. Also Fortnite gets a 120fps mode on the pro as well that is a noticeable improvement.

I tested Elden Ring and flipped between performance and quality mode but could not see the difference, where at first quality mode was too low fps for me to enjoy it but much sharper image. I now see no difference, the performance mode looks as sharp as quality and the frame rate on quality is as good as performance. Also stellar blade looks so crisp. An absolute treat for the eyes (on more ways than one 😋 And I tried RDR2 once again and it doesn’t look or run anything better sadly. I’ve now officially spent more time on downloading and installing that game over and over than actually playing it

PSSR is amazing. I have started playing Fortnite at 60fps because it now looks absolutely stunning at 60fps. Only time I switch back to 120fps is when I play Ranked. I was expecting a big difference when playing at 120fps but it isn’t that much better. Still it looks great but it hasn’t that wow factor at 120fps.

Honestly wish they had more power in the pro. Got mine yesterday tested out a bunch of games and I was left disappointed. First Descendant still plays like crap on pro the performance still lags if freyna is doing her toxic explosions. Didn't notice a y difference between the 5 and pro. Tried it warframe point all the settings up with Pssr on and noticed a slight difference in graphics. Warframe always looked good so I don't see any huge differences. Tried out fortnite and saw no difference actually looks exactly like the ps5 version. Tried out spiderman Morals and maybe it's better ? I don't know it's really stupid overall that I have to pull out a microscope to see the resolution. It's not worth buying guys trust me, save your money.

To my knowledge there is no official patch yet, though I have seen increased sharpness, responsiveness, and using multiple strategems with alpha effects does not cripple the system. It feels really smooth and looks sharp. Excited for the official patch from AH!

Ben me and you are a lot alike when it comes to playing some of these games, except I’m old 😂, but I know you played more then me , I had to buy a stupid disk drive because most of the games that are enhanced I have on disk and there charging a ridiculous amount of money for most of them , good job Sony !! I think one of the problems is like most of the famous games like cod and some other games that aren’t patched yet. Madden doesn’t really seem any different and things like that like most popular games that people play every day and the fact that they patched games that most people beat except for me, cause I’m gonna have a ball because I haven’t played any any of them yet 👍 but I believe that 3 to 4 months from now these things will be flying off the shelves because Sony’s gonna upgrade it and the developers are gonna go crazy making awesome games for this thing! Why pay $850 for a console with always online sold separately disc drive and stand, when you can buy a pc and you get to instantly play all of your games better along with cheaper games, no subscriptions, better sales, free games, vintage games, emulators and so much more on the same machine.

Honestly wish they had more power in the pro. Got mine yesterday tested out a bunch of games and I was left disappointed. First Descendant still plays like crap on pro the performance still lags if freyna is doing her toxic explosions. Didn't notice a y difference between the 5 and pro. Tried it warframe point all the settings up with Pssr on and noticed a slight difference in graphics. Warframe always looked good so I don't see any huge differences. Tried out fortnite and saw no difference actually looks exactly like the ps5 version. Tried out spiderman Morals and maybe it's better ? I don't know it's really stupid overall that I have to pull out a microscope to see the resolution. It's not worth buying guys trust me, save your money.

Same, I tried it on my C1 and S90C and the image quality is a bit better but performance wise it’s all over the place like my phat PS5. Baldur’s Gate 3 goes even low 30’s in the City, if this doesn’t play Crimson Desert or GTA 6 at 60 I’ll never buy a console from Sony ever.
