PS5 Pro is a Tough Sell based on what others are saying

Please keep in mind , this video is based on what i have researched from other KZbinrs who have made their own opinions about this console , i personally don't have a console to tell you my honest Opinion. However based on what everyone is saying is the following , PS5 Pro is a Tough Sell and for the reasons i will try to do my best to Explain on here. Very important that everyone understand that my opinions are based on what people are saying , once i have the console my opinions might change.

I have been enjoying the pro so far but it's more of a luxury item that's only worth it if you are looking for higher fidelity and less fps issues moving forwards. Had the console released with a new title that showcased it's potential I think more people would be considering it eventually. Time will tell whether the pro is a good investment or not once more games release...

...apparently we are getting Wolverine Showcase Dec 3rd... Next year Death Stranding 2, Gta 6, Ghost of Yotei, Wolverine. I am currently having first play through of FF7 Rebirth on Pro and having a blast! Rtx 3080 and LG C1 owner but PRO is dream console!

You can do 120hz on base PS5 for God Of War: Ragnarok. It's runs at 1440p on the base PS5 in this mode. You just need to toggle "Unlocked Frame rate" in the settings option.

It’s a good console. For me personally it’s more for the performance reasons I got one. Every game on the pro runs super smooth and is noticeably more stable then base model. Even games that aren’t “pro enhanced” run much better like black myth wukong for example. I’m playing and loving metaphor refantazio right now and even that game shocked me at how much smoother it runs and how clean the graphics are, where base model looked like a pixelated mess

Stop capping, saying huge upgrade is a stretch. I have both and the PS pro runs with 15-20 frames more in best case scenario. CPU bound games has no change

@@djsky2k8 Nope, RE4 goes from 60 with drops to 100+ fps, something above 110, that's a huge upgrade. Many games get an enhanced 60fps mode with better image quality than the old 30fps mode, that's huge.

It’s an easy sell. If you want to play your PS5 library with the best performance and visual quality it is a no brainer. They are not using same GPU as it is RDNA3 based with RDNA 4 based RT and NPU for AI upscaling. I don’t know why you tubers try to down play the improvements of the hardware that don’t know anything about it. People just want to bash on PS5 Pro for the price. People don’t like it and are trying to put out negative press to hopefully “show” Sony they are wrong and people won’t buy it and will wait for the “inevitable” price drop. The price is what it is, either you can afford it and want it or not. The PS5 is a capable machine but it’s not ever going to play games like the PRO and visuals will start to get better on the PRO and really separate itself as the generation goes on. I recommend this machine to anyone that wants it. The difference is easily shown once you get it and start playing it. Don’t let the haters try to deter you with their “views” and “opinions”. The price is what it is and won’t drop now or probably even before launch of PS6. Only thing I can see making Sony drop the price is if MS drops their next gen system in 2026 and it’s cheaper than the PRO. Other than that not happening

To add my 2 cents/pence. I think a lot of streamers are misrepresenting the conversation. Stuff like ‘does it look better’, was never the point. It’s meant to look the SAME as base console fidelity mode, but with the benefit of the higher frame rate. So from my point of view, I think it succeeds in what it set out to do. I will add a caveat that personally I think a good 4k display with VRR is really important to get the max benefit. It’s not an essential purchase, but am happy with mine.

The problem here is that the price of the Pro kind of indicates that it is 2x better than the base PS5 model ... which, ofcourse, isnt. The difference is probably around 30%. So people, or gamers, are wondering why they should lay $700 for an Pro model. Sony kind of put themselfs in a predicament here ... they cant lower the price of the Pro, otherwise there would be no point to get the normal, base PS5. However, the price for the base PS5 isnt dropping either, infact it became $50 more expensive in the last year. Also, one would expect, that with a "Pro" model, for that price you are paying, it would come with an disc drive, or an DualSense Edge controller, or something, anything, to make it feel like an "Pro" purchase. You even have to pay for a freaking stand ... c'mon on now, Sony. Its a mess. They should have waited for GTA6 or something and bundle it with the Pro.

Also fidelity at 30fps is pointless as you cant see the crispness in motion, its too blurry in motion. so whats the point in fidelity at 30fps? you can only see it when standing still. so unless you only use photo modes then good fidelity (with 30fps) on base consoles are useless. I think what you're saying is "i cant afford it".. not "no need to pay".. glad i upgraded my ps5 to pro. money well spent

The only game out at the moment that even looks different on the pro than the standard ps5 is final fantasy rebirth where ps5 pro actually makes a difference in cleaning up what was such a blurry image beforehand. Experts are saying they didn't see much difference at the Sony demonstration for the majority of games tested even though they were standing closer than the average gamer would when playing at home. The German speaking reviewer who is typically on point (Gaming Tech kzbin.info/www/bejne/emPQpWSOfrGLiKs) said that Alan wake 2 performs better on the standard ps5 because the frame rate is worse on the pro clocking in with lower frame rates which he was surprised by. You guys are just buying into the hype even when the experts that aren't shilling are warning you and telling the truth. Sony are nickel and diming you, you can't see it. You're like a chic getting sleep creeped, drugged and fucked in her sleep. I'm playing Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster PS5 Pro on a Sony A95L and it is truly breath-taking. It's flawless.

I’m normally that guy that tries to get every nee PS console when it comes out. I got the PS4 Pro on launch day. Felt that it was justified upgrade. I have also been researching and looking at video after video on KZbin. As of this writing I just don’t see any reason to drop 800 dollars on the Pro. There are some framerate upgrades on some games like RE4 which seems like a drastic upgrade but for most games the improvements seem trivial at best. Maybe next year there will be more new games built with the pro in mind with better improvements. Another downer was the fact that PS4 upscaling was at an absolute minimal. Wish they did more there.

I have both and compared them next to each other and honestly I wasted my money, should have just saved some more and buy a laptop with a 4070 GPU. The pro provides 15-20 frames extra in best case scenarios and if the game is CPU bound youll see no difference. Digital foundry best summed it up, the price to performance isnt worth it. Be honest with yourselves
