Getting rid of disks inflates the cost of games. Buying disks means you can trade them in or sell them to people online. You can buy used cheaper. No disk removes freedom and choice to a private market. Also remember these console companies don’t keep long term backwards compatibility over time so digital only sucks because when the hardware support and store support ends so goes your access to those games. This isn’t steam where you can play games back to 2004.

I saw the writing on the wall when the PS4 Pro came out. I built my PC in 2017 and could not be happier. I only upgraded my graphics card once in 2020 and I was amazed at how well it runs recent releases like Star Wars Outlaws and Ghost of Tsushima. I can use any controller I want. I can upgrade whenever I want. My Steam library is always gonna be there. I don't have to pay a monthly fee to play online. IDK why any hardcore gamer would want a console.

The PS5 Pro is a huge slap in the face to all us Sony gamers. There is "no way" that is costing them more for an extra terabyte of storage and a few extra chimps. As we all know, storage/components get cheaper and cheaper not to mention sony buys all these items in bulk. PS4 Pro was the same price as the launch PS4, now Sony wants us to believe that we are living in an alternate Spider-verse where you can charge MORE money as the console gets older.

@@bellissimo4520 yeah they are clueless for comparing pc’s to a consoles just because of the high price. “Oh look this PC is $3,000....wow the PS5 must be a great deal!” The reason I buy consoles is that they are cheap, the devs make custom games for them and I can hook it up to a TV and sit in my lazy boy with a controller in hand and play some great games without having to worry about drivers, settings, compatibility....etc.

Immediately stop manufacturing the Xbox One and the one X. Plus 90% of games on Xbox series X and S are not crossgen. Unlike Sony, 50% of their player base is still on PS5. In the video he said a lot of gamers are still playing on the Xbox one and PS4. On the PS4 yes but not on Xbox the data is out that says otherwise. It's really hilarious to me. Goofy troops are out in full force, talking nonsense. The Pro is for the hardcore gamers. The base PS5 will do just fine for casual. If the price hurts, you guess what? Buy the base model. If the disk drive is an issue, buy it later. If the improvements are not enough, then stick to the base PS5. As time goes on, gamers will hear and see that PS5 PRO is worth the money. While a 2tb Xbox SX costs $600 with no attempts to improve. Games are more stable on console than PC in most cases, I bet MONEY when it's all said and done PS5 PRO will out perform any $700 PC. Let's bet! I also said these things when I played on consoles and don’t get me wrong I have a ps5 but it was only for god of war when the sequel came out. Also I’ve never had that experience with games all being broken on pc other than games that was ported incorrectly because of the game companies. Either way atleast I can slap on a new part year after year and never spend a mass amount of money. The card on the console is bottlenecked by the processor so you won’t even get full performance out of it. You do whatever you want to do my friend but this is just coping at best.

lol the ps5 pro is shit compared to my pc. I spent 6500$ cause the ps5 and series x are both shit. I bought them both they both lied on the box saying there 8k and 120fps and it’s not even 4k and the games are all 30fps even on the pro. I got the best i9 processor with liquid cooling and a 4090 and the best Alienware 4k monitor now I play real games not kiddy toys

Some additional comments regarding the upcoming PS5 Pro. First off, I doubt that Sony will be offering any black Friday deals or holiday bundles a mere few weeks after the console launches. With most new consoles, console purchases usually see their best sales at release, aside from when they do drastic price drops for things like black Friday or Christmas holiday deals. Second, the processor getting such a tiny bump in performance, will only serve to act as a bottleneck for performance. That makes any game utilizing Unreal Engine 5 likely to be capped at 30 fps, as well as other games which don't use EU5, such as Hogwarts Academy. Sony's approval process for new games doesn't even require 60 fps performance for the PS5 Pro. Those claiming that the PS5 Pro will make all games at least 60 fps are showing their lack of research, and those claiming performance at or better than the nVidia 4090 delusional. Third, the PS5 Pro was available from Sony's site more than 24 hours after the pre-order process started, and have largely remained available through websites such as Best Buy's. And while the official announcement led to a rash of PS5/PS5 Pro disc drives becoming available through sites such as eBay, the only PS5 Pros appearing (at massive markups) are the 30th anniversary edition. And finally, it's up to the individual as to what they spend their money on. But it's worth pointing out that it might be a good idea to see what that $700+ gets you. (I'd guess that most of the PlayStation loyalists with deep pockets have disc based games from past systems, and got the more expensive PS5 at launch, making the $80 US disc drive a required purchase.) You've already seen how many PS5 games are being made with the PS4 in mind, since that remains to be about half of the entire PlayStation market at the moment. Due to the limited upgrade at the large price, I'd guess that the PS5 Pro will eventually end up being 5% of the PS5 market, or 2.5% of the current PlayStation market. How much effort do you think third party developers will be putting in to that market? If Sony's official launch video required pointing out differences of zoomed-in sections for PS4 and early PS5 games, the only time to expect drastic improvements will only be after they're shown, not before.

This is what happens when ur influenced by the crowd. A ps5 is $500 and a 1 tb ssd upgrade is 150, so 650 vs 700 for the pro which has a 2tb ssd. For 50 dollars extra u are getting a significantly better console, its getting double the frame rate, while adding in ray tracing, much higher graphics settings & higher resolution 4k, on which planet in this world is this not worth it? People just hop on the bandwagon n they think hating makes them cool. U would have to be ignorant to buy the non pro over this.
