Got a question for the console gamers... Until last year, I was in my apprenticeship, couldn't afford one and therefore don't have a console at the moment. When the trailer for GTA VI dropped this year I told myself that I would wait for the PS5 Pro and use it as my new platform. (I used to play GTA 5 on a gaming PC, which is now completely outdated, still sitting at my parents' place, and nowadays it runs smoothly on my laptop from 2023.) For GTA 6, I'll switch to PlayStation because there probably won’t be any crossplay with PC (most of my friends who game have a PS4 Pro/PS5), my laptop is enough for what I do on the computer, and I don’t want to spend the money on a decent PC. Now the question is: What makes more sense-getting a base PS5 sometime next year, playing GTA 6 on it until the PS6 comes out 2-3 years later and then upgrading, or buying a PS5 Pro and playing on that for as long as possible? I want to play GTA VI right at release and don’t really want to upgrade soon after. On top of that, I’ll have to spend quite a bit of money for a console/controller + a new TV (my old one is 10 years old), whether it’s the overpriced Pro or a standard PS5 and then upgrading to the PS6 a few years later. What do you guys think?

I have a PC already and always wanted to upgrade my PS4 to a PS5. We'll I got my chance, I just preordered one. I was planning to get a PS5 for GTA 6 trailer came out but now GTA 6 release date is pushed back. I don't think it's worth to upgrade from a 1st gen PS5 to a PRO. I hope one day we have a console that’s comparable to high-end computers regarding gaming. I’ll take a $3k to $4k PS6 all day… I’ll never be able to game with a keyboard/mouse, so console is the way to go for me.

Personal opinion here, but I think to play GTA 6 with full satisfaction, even regardless of price, you’ll need to buy a PS5 Pro. To future proof your opinion on this super graphics demanding game, price won’t matter. It’ll just come down to whether you have the hardware or don’t to run the game properly. Also, don’t even get us started on the capabilities of the pro. We might even be looking at a customization system update that we’ve been wanting for years now.

The ps5 pro's updates should've been for the ps5 then atva later stage sony should have done the 8K 120FPS for the pro. These upgrades of the ps5 pro are very minor and nearly noticeable besides lighting tho

Ive already pre-ordered my Playstation 5 Pro and I currently already have a Playstation 5 Slim Disc Version so I'll be sitting both consoles side by side horizontally right next to eachother for my setup. I like the idea of having two PS5s for some reason.

Ps5 pro is absolutely amazing it looks excellent on my 55inch Sony bravia it makes games look extra clean definitely a noticeable difference from the base ps5 im happy I sold my ps5 😊😊

It's really hard to tell in the presentation because HDR content was not enabled on the KZbin video but you need special screen capturing equipment to do that which can run into the multi-thousand dollar plus stuff if you want to see the difference and it'd be huge on any device Games may run at 4K60 with RTX If developers decide to use 4K textures and put rtx on the textures themselves 😊 so the PS5 pro can do less work instead of relying on revolution rendering
