Launch days aren’t as important as launch years imo. A launch day can be carried by third party titles if the exclusives are slim, but if a whole year goes by with no great titles, then it’s a problem. I still think it’s part of the reason why the switch had massive success. They had a stacked launch year.

Dont forget you can play your backlog of ps4 games if a person has some. Thats a big thing for me is I dont have a ps4 so going back and playing games like Ghost of Tushima or the last God of war is a must. Ratchet and clank goes back to my childhood, Miles Morales may be good and the demon souls remake will be good. Then in 2021 there is God of war Ragnorok, Horizon: Forbidden West, and Ghostwire: Tokyo. Plus that doesn't include whatever else Sony will unveil for 2021, and third party titles will fill the gaps. I think that the ps5 is going to do just fine in the long run.

You’re naive if you think the experience playing it on next gen hardware will be significantly different from the current gen machines. Was sleeping dogs or gta 5 much different as remasters from the originals? Story and game play is exactly the same. Both consoles will support 4k or dynamic 4k for cyberpunk. This isn’t the same as going from PS2 to ps3 or going from standard def to HD gaming Lol. As for Spider-Man miles morales it’s practically the same game experience as the PS4 game of 2018. It’s a game you get because you have a ps5 not a game you buy a ps5 for. It’s a glorified dlc. Nothing more. When I got my PS4 pro it was specifically to play games I couldn’t play on the PS3. The only game in my library available on PS3 is last of US (remastered) and that was only bought because I fancied playing it before the sequel and found it more convenient to have all the games I was playing in one place, on one tv and in one room. But when all is said and done it’s you’re money and choice to buy at launch, just don’t bitch when you finish those games and there isn’t anything else coming out for a while or when sony announce a newer and better version of the ps5 that has more storage space and a silent fan.

Dreamcast and PS2 had the best launch lineups in modern history. PS2 had A LOT of launch titles but only a few bangers. Tekken Tag, Ridge Racer V, SSX, Dynasty Warriors 2, Armored Core 2, timeSplitters, Madden 2001, and 20 other games that were just 'okay.' Launch lineup isn't a big deal imo. Especially considering almost every ps4 game is backwards compatible and the usual suspects like NBA, cod, etc are also going to be out. I think it’s better than PS4s launch titles, I definitely going to get Spider-Man miles morales ultimate edition, assassins creed Valhalla, call of duty black ops Cold War, godfall, mortal kombat 11 ultimate edition, watch dogs legion. Man my wallet is going to kill me between the PS5 and Black Friday on top of that next month.

DC Universe Online came out in January 11th, 2011 for the PS3. The PS5 launch game am looking forward to the most is GodFall. I hope this next console generation doesn't disappoint because this current console generation has been a disappointment to me overall. Your laughter are so funny.

I think the PS5 launch lineup/launch window is leagues better than PS4's. We won't really know how good the launch games will be until they release though

Im excited but getting a PS5 at launch isn't really worth it, i can play spiderman and horizon on PS4 and i have a PC so i can play godfall so they only got demon souls right? yeah i think i'll wait till next year for sure. im not repeating the same mistake i did with PS4 i got that at launch and i only got like one or two games that interested me to play after that it literally just sat there collecting dust for months so yeah I'm picking up that sucka in January

I think a lot of people don't realize that Miles Morales is going to be on PS4 as well. Demon's Souls is the only big game that you can only play on PS5. So it's not a bad launch lineup, but it only does have one BIG exclusive game.

The launch 2 main titles for PS4 were killzone and COD GHOSTS for PS5 we have Demon souls, Spider Man miles morales and COD Cold War. It’s already better than last gen.
