PS5 secret menu safe mode boot - ps5 rest mode fix

I recently read that people were having trouble with rest mode on the ps5. One of the suggestions to fix this is to use safe mode and rebuild the database.
So how do you boot a ps5 into safe mode watch and see.
To try this ps5 rest mode fix just boot the ps5 into safe mode and choose rebuild database.
Booting ps5 into safe mode
Step one: With the PS5 turned off hold down the power button until it beeps
Step two: Connect the wired usb cable to the controller and PS5
Step three: Select number 5 clear cache and rebuild database
Step four: Select rebuild database
Step five: Do a happy dance if this fixes it for you and leave a comment and thumbs up

I rebuid the data base but can u tell me why the ps store ps plus my profile wont load and when it does only part if it will then shows me corrupt data symbols

Just rebuilt the database with an 8TB external HDD attached and it only took me a minute and a half. Hoping it fixes the issue 🤞

This fixed the problem for me: go into settings > system > HDMI and turn off HDMI sync.

I always had my ps5 in rest mode. Been having it for months now. But just suddenly today after turning it on from rest mode. The system would just turn off instead of Turing on. Which really freaked me out. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Does rebuilding the database lose any save progress in games? I've been meaning to rebuild the database to see if I can then use rest mode without issues, although I don't want to lose any progress on games I'm currently playing.
