Xbox Series X because: Has a disc drive( matters to me because I already have some physical Xbox one games) 4k Support, I have a 4K TV. Not a top of the line one but I'll play it on the living room TV sometimes which is a Samsung I love the cube design. It's like a futuristic version of the GameCube and the fadr that it lights up green on the top, I think it does, is a nice attention to detail in my opinion. I love the Forza, and gears of war series. I feel that I'll enjoy those more then the ps exclusives even though I do like PS exclusives ( Dreams PS4 is my favorite one) I prefer the Xbox Interface, not a big thing to me but I like how nice and organized it is.

You made some good points but Sony has unarguably better exclusives. I respect that you enjoy Forza and gears of war, but those games have nothing on Bloodborne, Ghost of Tsushima, or God of War. Just from an objective standpoint those 3 games are better. I agree that the design is better on the series X but I think for people like myself who enjoy story driven games, the PS5 is definitely better. That’s why I just bought both haha

I never quite saw the appeal of platinum trophies even after getting my first PlayStation in 2022. I didn't know what it was at first and got excited thinking it was an extra challenge, but when I found out it's just another trophy for completing everything I was like oh, ok. A bit gimmicky tbh but it looks nice. Game Pass and PS Plus are probably about even right now purely because you can pay for PS Plus annually with a discount. If it wasn't for that then Game Pass would be ahead no question in terms of the variety of games, but Sony does have better exclusives.

@@cun7us I'm sure its the same with other achievements. But playstation sometimes gives you about $15 if you get the right trophies, and it earns you points to buy other games that's in the reward system.

​@@HensonKwong oh that's pretty cool. I've racked up a number of trophies already so I'll check it out. Yeah, Xbox gives you reward points for completing certain challenges and using Game Pass. They accumulate slowly but I've used them to pay for a few games.

I have a PS5 slim (disc version) and a pc, Ryzen 9, RTX 4080 super, 64gb ram, 2tb ssd. I find myself gaming on the PS5 more often than on my pc, it's more convenient and gaming on my 85" Sony 4k tv and chilling in a recliner has something to with it. Some games that's not available for consoles are being played on my pc

The competition now has gone beyond the scope of consoles. Sony's competitors are not just Microsoft and Nintendo, but Tencent, Apple, Google or Nvidia, Amazon, and Valve. Although Windows is produced by Microsoft, most of the money from PC games is earned by Steam, not through Xbox Game Pass. Apple and Google make a lot of money through mobile platforms.

Publishing is a different field to consoles so can't really be compared. People aren't going to decide which publisher they prefer the most. It's true that the others make a lot of money through their games, especially Tencent, but they rely on devices for them to be played which is a whole different ball game.

@@HensonKwong it wasn’t able to deliver the way the previous gen did. We got what on ps5? Spider man 2/GoW Ragnarok and Horizon these were probably the biggest hits since the Ps5 was dropped. Mistake me if wrong (my memory sucks) Not saying it’s bad it’s just not enjoyable for me anymore. Haven’t played the 5 for a good 6 months. That’s just my opinion. The switch on the other hand… it is absolutely beautiful playing mario and zelda on it. Play on the go, on the couch, heck on the toilet. I just love the switch honestly. It’s more convenient for me.

@@Sam1290-1the problem with the switch is the performance. It’s seriously 20+ year old technology that is priced at the same price as the series s. It’s absurd. The exclusives are very good, but for 30 fps at max on almost all games is a bit crazy. Zelda: TOTK runs at 25-30 fps all the time for example. That’s really annoying considering that game could easily do 60 on a console just as powerful as an Xbox 360 or PS3.
