@@gabeballinger375 it really depends on what you're looking for. But I absolutely love it. Mine's completely outfitted with all the HB Industries extras the only thing left to do is put a new trigger pack in and with the Sig Romeo 5 I put on the top I'm smacking 8in and 4in steel targets at 80 yards the firearm itself is extremely well-made and the extras that are out there for it just make it sew much more. And honestly is far as maintenance and where things of that nature, it breaks down into four pieces for cleaning and there's very few small intricate little Parts like as opposed to the Sig MPX. It is a bit heavy but I love mine I got mine at at a deal and I got it before it the price went up to $1,200 so if you can find one around 8 to 9 you're doing fine I think. Let me know if you get one and I hope you love it as much as I do if not try to go find somebody that has one and get a chance to shoot it. Probably be the best way to answer that question but I think it is

DON'T. I bought a PSA 8" Gen4 and it smashes every round into the wall below the chamber. This pushes the bullet further into the casing, causing over pressurization. I even had one round EXPLODE in the chamber and I'm fortunate to not get hurt. I've sent it back twice now, and they just pretended to diagnose and fix it, then sent it back in the same condition. This company has some questionable quality control. They have rampant issues with models of their other pistols. I wouldn't risk buying their stuff if I were you.

Disgusting as it is, the HiPoint carbines are about the only reasonable value, on the market. The SUB2000 is crap, even for a piece of junk(and costs as much as an AR) About the only one Ive seriously considered, is a CX4, but its still overpriced and heavy, compared with an AR. My Friend bought one three weeks ago, can`t get through a single 35rd mag without a malfunction. The AKV will fire, eject, chamber the next round, but the hammer has followed through and does not fire the chambered cartridge. 8 different brands of 9mm, and it still does this when you least expect it. For whatever reason, the disconnector is not catching the hammer on recoil. Plus the roll pin that retains the firing pin fell out and disappeared. so the firing pin is stuck out the back of the bolt carrier on top of the hammer. I fixed that with the roll pin from an AR bolt, the one that holds the ejector in, same size and length. Still intermittently and unexpectedly misfires. PSA was contacted a week ago, no response yet. Disappointing that my friend cannot rely upon this weapon for self defense. You never know when, throughout a mag, that this will happen. Sometimes it does this two or three times in a row.

PSA has come a long way over the past decade, while keeping prices low. A Daniel Defense or BCM will be smoother operating and better machined for sure, and have better and faster customer service, too, but the quality increase with PSA is making the decision to spend 2-3x more for a BCM a more difficult one. For 99% of people, I say get the PSA, spend the savings on ammo and training, and outgun everyone else with it.

@@GarandThumb I believe you are the only reviewer I have ever seen to disclose that when you are supplied a gun for review that it is likely "cherry picked". It is pretty much guaranteed that they only would send one for evaluation that has been completely gone through and tuned to ensure that it will perform flawlessly as they have a vested interest in presenting it in the best possible light. This practice has led me to view these reviews with a lot less credibility as there can be a wide difference between the model reviewed and the one anyone else would buy off the shelf, which is the world the rest of us live in. I have to wonder how many folks may have purchased something based in a large part on a positive review or video only to find that the one they got didn't perform nearly as well as the one in the review. I am not naive enough to think this practice is going to stop, especially when there's money involved, but do appreciate you mentioing that the sample you are reviewing might not be representative of the one others might get off the shelf, thank you.
@wilycoyote90914 жыл бұрын
@@AlphaMachina That's good that they would replace the gun, which in the long run might be better than just the part. Its understandable that someone messed up big time at PSA, but even without someone having signed off on the QA stamp (protect the guiilty?) a new gun shouldn't have well used parts in it. I bought a Taurus G2C that had problems right out of the box and sent it back as a virtually brand new gun and got it back with an old used barrel without even a serial number on it. Stupid me for expecting them to stand behind their product, so PSA is already ahead of them by offering to replace it with a new one this time.

I don't have the ALG trigger or the folding stock, but I got one back in 2019 and it is a great gun. I was trying to decide between the CZ scorpion and the AKV. The Scorpion seemed to have more people who commented on the need of customizing the safety, hand grips and other mods. I didn't like the original safety placement and it dug into my hand and the hand grip did seem to be a little awkward at the angle. The only issues with the AKV that I found from the MAC channel that PSA addressed and a few grumbles about the magpul furniture so I chose the AKV. It is a great pistol. I like the weight. My wife says it is too heavy, but she is able to shoot it regardless and I can get her a lighter 9mm in this class to complement her Glocks. I don't mind a few tweaks and mods, but like holsters I didn't want to have to order various parts only to find out o I took a chance with the AKV
