there’s something about the regular bank heist that’s so simple yet so wonderful. It’s the perfect tutorial level because going quiet or loud is so easy. It teaches the player what to target during stealth and how to deal with civilians who noticed you shooting a guard even though they’re out of sightline. You can go loud if you want to, for more fun and banger music, before you get kicked in the jaw by a cloaker. It’s the perfect “do what you want” heist and I love it for that

Reasons why I hate stealth in Payday 2: - 4 stealth kill/pager limit - body bags are required to relocate corpses - It’s really long and tedious - the pager system makes long-ranged stealth kills impossible, unless you run all the way to your kill - no options for non-lethal takedowns which doesn’t abide by the pager limit, body bag rule, or just the pager rule in general. - you have to kill the camera man in the security room if you want to dispose of the cameras without jeopardizing your stealth run by just destroying them And I can go on and on about this shit.

The only times I stealth Bank Heist: Gold (or so) is when I: 1) Need to boost a few levels after reaching a new Infamy. 2) Need to boost a friend who reached infamy / is new so we can play more heists together. 3) I am so fucking low on spending cash after several failed heists where I had to keep buying all the assets. Bank Heist: Got the drill, opened the doors, took out one guard, got the camera guy, *other guard comes in and starts shooting*. Framing Frame: Opened bathroom door, got one painting, *guard saw you and triggers the alarm* Jewelry Store: Use ECM, get all civs from front, take down all other civs from outside, take all bags to the escape car, *civilian gets up and calls the police when you're with last 3 bags* Diamond Store: Open the back door, take down one guard, *civilian sees you and triggers the alarm when you're answering the pager* Mallcrasher: Get inside, choose the first shop upstairs, destroy all that's inside, realize that It gave you no profit, change the shop, *guard sees you and you take him down when all the civs around are escaping* Four Stores: Look for the big safe, chose the Chinese shop, get ths civs and a guard, find out that safe didn't had enough money, *civilian sees you from the window and calls the police* There is no chance.

Janfon01 Tie civs outside the building and use control freak on the civs inside. While escaping/going far away, shoot once before leaving them alone. You can also get Hoxhud which will allow you to determine whether civilians are laying down or standing up by the color of the exclamation mark above their heads.

Who can blame them? The difficulty ramp up from normal to Death Wish is stupidly unbalanced. Stealhing on normal requires the same skill as stealthing on Death Wish, with maybe one or two additional guard(s). But going loud? The jump from Overkill to Death Wish is massive.

Though going loud is fun and adrenaline inducing, going quiet every once and awhile is very technical and chill, especially once you’re able to pick those damn locks in 2-3 seconds.

So I'm somewhat new to the PAYDAY Community, and yeah I thought everyone loved doing stealth so I kept running stealth missions when hosting my own public games and people joined, knew what to do etc. Then one day I decided to do BANK HEIST on Loud. I expected it to be me, solo, with others joining in for like 2 seconds then leaving. IN BRIEFING: Red: Stealth Green (me): Loud Orange: FUCK YEAH Red: Ok nice Blue: About time someone does this loud From that day on I've been hosting lobbies that do missions where Stealth is an option as Loud. Seems like I'm the only one though, honestly.
