Imo, it wouldn’t be too much to ask that they include a simple report per card. I realize they are slammed and backed up but, they’re already inspecting this stuff, it would barely add 10 seconds to have a checklist they can check off for reasons for the grading. Cuz why would a card that looks essentially perfect in every inspectable way NOT be a 10? There needs to be a reason for the 9 and it should be reported to the submitter. Also, how hilarious would it be to crack them and send em back in again just to expose that their grading is wonky!

PSA seems to have had a meeting with its graders and told them 10’s should be ultra rare grades to be given, to keep the pops down, and so 9 is the new 10 and a PSA 10 is similar to a SGC Pristine 10 or a BGS Black Label. You’re one of probably 100 subs I’ve watched where 10 is less than 10% of their order and it leaves the submitter absolutely dumbfounded. Something happened at PSA, and you nailed it when you said the consistency has plummeted. I believe that was by design. You should try TAG Grading, maybe even crack these & submit them to do a video about the end result. People need to see that PSA is shit now!!!

Hey! What's shaking? Lol. My grading all around isn't the best. Not sure if it's me or the companies. I set up at a show last weekend for the very first time. Great experience. Meet a group submitter for PSA Canada.... And he's local! Now I'm so torn. Cheap grading with local guy so no shipping 👍👍👍. But ...it's PSA who I'm super unhappy with 👎👎👎. Lol I'm almost ready to stick with raw! A few of the cards from my last few subs are getting cracked. Either to resub, or to just figure out what I'm missing.

Maybe they were revenge grades for using the economy tier. All joking aside, thanks for the video. I have a ton of cards that I am getting graded. I opted to go through my local comic shop and have them graded by CGC. IMO CGC slabs look sooo much better than PSA.

I haven't tried tag. Although I'd like to. But to be honest, I've stopped grading all together. Living in Canada it's just too expensive. With SGC or PSA the absolute cheapest I can do it is just over 30$ USD per card. It makes no sense for my situation. I'd way rather put that money into purchasing new cards, than grading. I don't plan on selling so why bother. If I change my mind in a few years, I'll grade then, no harm no foul. From the reveals I've seen, the tag slabs are amazing looking.

I watch a ton of reveal videos, I'm kinda addicted to them. I would seriously think hard about sending in anything from the 90s. PSA seems to be destroying 90s grades for some reason. Guys that send in lots of 90s stuff, and have lots of experience, get manhandled on the grades. Highest grade you'll get is a 9. I honestly feel like if you send them there they won't get a fair grade. Not sure why, but something as changed at PSA, 100%.

I forced my mom to buy me this set of cards when i was a kid. Doubt they survived in that condition. Cool vid though. Im sure there not going to buy a new house but are theses worth anything significant??

In raw condition, they really aren't worth much at all. In graded condition they can be, if it's a key character and the grades are good. Best resource is either eBay, filtering to sold items. Or 130.com they do the work for you.

Yea something is up with PSA grading I'm thinking they dont even look at cards now and just randomly grade....I also got rocked on last 2 orders....I'm done with PSA for a year or so longer may sub with SGC or CGC right now wont be grading to expensive and cards just dont sell like they use too.

Completely agree. I've seen videos of late from PSA with fair grading, insanely harsh grading, and ridiculously easy grading. Rydog had a reveal, he went 17/17. It was a blind reveal where some of the cards he said "oh, this card isn't a 10, it has surface issues and a bad corner so maybe a 9, probably an 8".....flips it over, gets a 10. It was a crazy reveal. Theres just no consistency right now. Thx for watching mang.

I've been grading cards for a couple years now, I'm no expert but I do feel I have a decent eye for it now. The thing that drives me crazy is that these cards are part of a larger batch that I pregraded, cleaned and prepped, all on the same day. Shipped them in the same box, and they were recieved at PSA on the same day. Only difference is, I broke then up into and express order, because there were some higher tier characters that I wanted back sooner. And a bulk order that was lower tier characters. The express sub came back, with an 80% gem rate. This sub comes back, with a zero gem rate. They all came from the same batch of cards that I pregraded and cleaned and prepped at the same time. So, the only difference is on PSAs end. They just refused to give me a 10. No idea why.

PSA is a great company for grading. Maybe research exactly what they look for. If you don’t go over the surface with strong magnification then you are just gambling. Sometimes it’s just a minute amount of over inking from one color to the next. Just because you take it out of the pack and take perfect care of it doesn’t mean it’s a 10. 99.9% of cards aren’t in PSA 10 conditioner coming off the production line. This video kind of makes you sound whinny when it’s probably small surface errors you didn’t see.

Hey man. The thing about this order is that it was a larger order that I split up when I sent it in. I prepped and pregraded all my marvel cards together as a group in the same day. When I submitted them, I cherry picked 5 cards as express, while the rest were sent as bulk. Packed them up in the same box, mailed them off. Got the 5 express cards back, did a video, had an 80% prediction rate, I said 5/10s, got 4 with one 9. When the rest of the bulk marvel stuff came back, I had a 80% prediction rate on my 9s....and a 0% rate on my 10s? Same batch of marvel cards. Cleaned, prepped, pre graded on same day. Mailed in same box and received by PSA same day. The cards sent as express I predicted correctly 80% of the 10s. Then I go to predicting correctly 0% of the 10s? Nothing changed on my end. Different grader? Different grading tier? Ya, everything changed on PSAs side. And it was reflected by inconsistent grading. You should watch more reveal videos, all I've seen in the last few months is guys with damaged cards, inconsistent grades left scratching thier heads.
