@@DavidLLambertmobileI believe that a young boy actually choked to death on one of those Battle Star Galactica missiles. This is the factor that has led to many changes in the industry for child safety including the rocket firing feature being removed from the original Kenner Boba Fett. I had several of those mail away figures and absolutely none of them had the ability to fire the rocket. They were all glued in place at the factory. In addition to that the backpack had been resculpted to remove the J slot that would have retained the rocket in the firing version. I can’t say I ever really missed it because Boba never fired the rocket I the movies. I do remember the 12” Kenner Boba Fett had a rocket that came out as a grappling hook and had a string attached. I don’t believe it had a firing mechanism though.

@@Mejust869 none of the rocket firing boba Fett’s were ever released to the public. The only ones that exist were prototypes. And yes, the way to get the Fett was to send in 5 proof of purchase tokens and maybe a couple bucks for prepaid shipping and then like 12 weeks later they sent out the figure. Eventually they released Boba Fett on a card that you could buy in the store. They did the proof of purchase gimmick several times. This was the way to get Bossk originally (if I remember correctly) and I also remember they did a weapons pack where you got like 5 guns (a Han Solo pistol, a stormtrooper blaster, a rebel blaster pistol, a snow trooper rifle and some other blaster too) as well as a Hoth rebel soldier backpack and a dagobah Luke back pack for yoda. These came out between ESB and ROTJ as I recall as all of the gear was related to ESB. I remember because I got a few of them from saving all of the POP’s I had accumulated. Harrison Ford just wanted the "Heroes sacrifice" I agree that most of the best scoundrel anti-hero characters end in a heros sacrifice. It's how they're fully redeemed for their sins mostly of pride or greed or selfishness of some kind. but it's how their flaws and life decisions are overlooked to become a full hero in everybody's eyes. Making the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good. Do it for the children lol.
