I agree with you 100%. When I started the game, I felt it was more important for me to get every single hero to sup+, including Valen and the green chicken. At first, I was doubting my own decisions due to the competition I had with whales in my server, but later when Dura's trials came out I knew I made the right decision. Paragons will come with time, it is better to have as many heroes fully built as possible first.

@@dereknguyen3861I think so. During the Q&A session at the AFKJ meetup, the devs said they are very aware of who is meta and who is not. Their goal is to find ways for non-meta heroes to be playable.

Thanks for this. I’m entirely f2p and have 21 Supreme + heroes and have another 4 heroes close to S+. I was tempted to go paragon but had been thinking of trying to S+ the rest of my roster first. This video confirmed my thoughts.

He's telling the truth! There’s a guy in our server with around 55k power versus my 43k. Most of his heroes are P3 to P4, but I beat him using S+ and P1 heroes in SA. The point here is that if you're better at countering team compositions, you have a chance to beat them.

Agreed, though when facing people with paragon and tactics sense who are also pushing faction towers and AFK stages it can be hard! Still, even with my 5 P1 heroes and 45 Supreme+ vs a bunch of Paragons I can still push into top 20 Supreme Arena every day, and often top 5. I have even, for a few seconds, last season and this, hit 1st place.

Also with modes like Dura's Trials being so important, unlocking all the core abilities for even niche units is more relevant than 3% stats for your pvp team.

Honestly it will be more batter if they create more bigger map with a lot quests, bring in more codes with batter gifts, bring more heroes, put more events. Paragon is just for high P2W players and F2P will never can't have ever Paragon 4 because it's very hard

in fact i realized it after we needed all factions to attack the boss, then i realized that it won't work to win with 5 heroes, i need almost all of them. but of course each hero has its own priority. by setting priorities correctly you can achieve high results, but in the end, i need all of them

The best mode I think we had that supports this was the ravaged realm, people with paragon cele/hyoo heroes and the like were ranking below people who had a fully S+ wilder faction when the wilder attack would come up for example.

I have just a few heroes on the wish list that could go to Paragon. I am making sure to work out and get other people up to S+. I can't image trying to Paragon a cele/hypo. Especially not when I only have M+ Reiner and S Talene. It would be "cool" to have paragon Talene, but I need to get others up first. I guess I had the right approach, thanks for confirming.

I have been doing almost exactly what you recommended. I always thought dream realm are more important for getting upgrade materials. Getting paragon is only important for arena so I honestly didn't care. If have a good rank in dream and arena that's good enough for me. I'm not fighting over the top 10 constantly. It's not my idea of a fun time.

Top 20 DR is doable for f2p, depends on how lively the spenders are. Longtime f2p account can easily stay in top 50 SA/Arena with minimal effort but even top 20 is already a headache, so yeah, I don’t try anymore.

The "trap" is thinking that you have to match the paragons of the enemy team... not the paragons themselves. Don't even try to send your full team of s+ heroes against a p3, or p4 enemy team, because 99% of the time, you're gonna lose. This does, of course, depend on the heroes used... trash teams are trash teams, but you get what I'm saying. I've found that being within 2 paragons of the enemy team gives a good enough chance of winning to get the job done most of the time. Scarlita is an rng win condition, which is something Puzzle isn't mentioning here for some reason.

Just unlocked Paragon recently and almost to P1 of Odie, Lily May and also my favorite hero. That’s probably gonna be my last paragons for a while unless some new broken hero on the same utility level of Lily appears. Edit: Odie is kinda easy to justify when I’m done with most of the meta A levels. I’d rather not use those dream currencies on Mirael or Valen.

I remember when Puzzle did a video on heroes he regretted building and was advocating p3 Arden over S+ Parisa. I'm an advocate of splitting your standard wishlist so each faction and tier has a new hero you are building and one for paragon. Also think p2 is the highest I would ever consider going on that ladder, the opportunity cost becomes too high after that and you run the risk of a hero falling out of the meta (Marilee).

I also agree with this. We have 4 new heroes coming this season and a new hypo. Paragon is a bit much to invest on. Some like Vala, Lily May, Odie might still be good to get

Yea, even tho people say Paragon has more impact in PvP, my P1/S+ heroes were able to defend against a whale who has P3/4 heroes. Just today alone, my defense won against a whale with those highly invested heroes. It’s the luck of the draw sometimes. I agree that if you’re close to Paragon from just RNG, good. Just don’t spend to get them. If people play long enough, they will all eventually get there from collecting them over time.

I think having maybe four characters at A level and four characters at S level per wishlist at a time to push to paragon is a decent way of working through it, you don't need every character even in duras trials, the only character this season that has been a must build is Sinbad in my opinion (when considering Ravaged Realm reruns), even Tasi can be dropped, whilst good in afk pushing and pvp as there are alternatives. There are certain characters that really benefit from paragon especially heroes that have dmg reduction already in their kits such as Shakir.

Low to mid spender here. Since I didn't invest enough for Paragon, I never gave it any focus and concentrated on building many units. I spent around 600 bucks total and I can easily keep my top 20 in all game modes, that being on a fairly early server with a decent amount of whales. Spending a ton for Paragon is just not worth it.

I completely disagree. With the exception of regretting it once or twice like with mikola that I could not build. My account that costs around 2k often beats accounts costing 20k+ in my server in anything pvp related and some pve, because they have whaled on a lot of characters but I just keep pushing the same ~15-17 heroes. Unless my entire wishlist falls off meta you will have no chance to beat me even with x5 times the investment. The way I see it is you have an option: you are either "one trick pony" account or "jack of all trades" account , both cost about the same to build especially now that they have increased the hero releases. Just pick your strengths and weaknesses.

I would say P1 is worth for core PvP focus heroes for the rivalry stats but more than that is not that worth. I will say that there are season quests for having X number of P1 heroes that gives you books and dust that can allow to get ahead.

overall s rank heroes i agree until you've gotten most built don't focus on paragon. For A rank heroes i built 1 to paragon while adding in one of the c-d rank heroes per faction this allowed me to push up the A/S tier heroes needed for pvp and dream realm while building up the bad heroes that really only get used in very niche cases. At this point i've gotten almost every A champ to m+ and a large amount of the top tier to paragon. S rank champs i pretty much went after the top tier and shuffled till i was starting to no longer have S/A tier champs then i'd leave 1-2 S tier champs i really wanted for pvp in while doing the B tier champs. At this point i only have like D tier S rank heroes left to level so it's easy to put in 2-3 of the top champs for paragon. I'm only now just starting A rank champs for p2 just because the wishlist forces you to have 2 graveborn A ranks on the listing even though they only have 4 a rank....

People seem to forget that objectively the point of ranking is to just get better rewards, and honestly, being in the top 20 (maybe even within top 50) in both arenas is more than enough (relatively speaking of course, Lilith could def increase the rewards across the board, but we know how stingy and greedy they are lol) - the money you have to pump into maintaining ranking in the top 5 isn't worth the very slight uptick of those rewards. It's def better to have options for current and upcoming Dream Realm and Primal Lord bosses imo. The downside of this philosophy though is now I want to Supreme+ all the characters. 😂 Which I have done with the exception of Berial who is forever stuck at Epic+. Haha I'm saving my Scam Crystals for the upcoming Shark(?) Hypo.

The only reason I paragon my Hero’s is because if AFK wanna make more money. They will introduce new mechanics or upgrades beyond P4 or that needs Paragon tiers in the future. For example they extend the ex-weapon to +30 or +50 but in order to able to +30 your Hero have to be Paragon 2 for example. If they never add extra upgrades, I agree with you but if they do and that upgrade becomes super powerfull you wish you started earlier with Paragon haha Whats are your thoughts on that?

i guess it's different for A-level's that you are able to get from the dreamstore? since we can't use the currency for the new A-level's since they aren't moved into the dream store, so we can focus on buying all heroes we need and up some to at least P1, like i will do with ma Odie ^^ i have most A-level's built already and the rest i'll get through pulls (those that are not needed or "bad)

I think there needs to be a balance between chasing paragon and having all the good heroes. keyword being balance. there's no need to go for extremely high paragon but we need some paragon as well for important heroes like lily may etc for example, because as time passes, opponents will have higher paragon as well so we will just lose alot of pvp related events if we absolutely ignore the paragon system in the long run. while having a good variety of heroes is important there's also no need to go for unpopular heroes that will likely not see much use. so balance is the key here.

Niru isn’t walker tier lol, if anything it’s Salazer. Lumont at least has a niche in very high deficit AFK pushing. Or he used to, but Tasi arrived. That said, you probably should level them up if they were actually used in S1 Ravaged Realm. But if they’re not, sorry Lumont and Kafra, you’re benched forever.

Game is super casual honestly. Only thing that really matters is positioning and skill tiers (stuff like M+, L+, S+). Often less developed characters do ult earlier and outperform more developed ones. The advice to go wide is smart. Not sure if this is good for devs, this will clearly lead to spending less but they are the ones designing the game.
