So nice to see you back. I also sent in a submission during the May special. Have not received them back yet. I just wanted to have a set of graded rookie 1-10 cards and 1-10 stickers. I’m sure the grades will be terrible since they are my cards from when I was 12 (don’t do the math). I accidentally found these cards in my garage and enjoyed watching your videos, so I sent some in for the fun of it. Thanks for sharing these videos with us.

Whoa!!! I had to do a Dubb-le Take this morning when I saw the thumbnail for a new video! Really cool to see ya back making more videos! The new room looks very cool. Congrats on completing the 1977 series 1 blue set in PSA 8 and 9! Can't believe you keep trying to send in those cards you trimmed! 😉 I thought for sure PSA was gonna slip ya a 10 on that evaporator tower card, but alas...no dice. Thanks Ryan! Definitely rusty on this one. Sound sucked, plan was poorly executed, lighting needs work, and various other things…. but getting back in the saddle is more important than perceived perfection. And thanks for the “congrats”. Very fun to slowly fill in the missing pieces. Do you have any opinion on the new Sapphire ROTJ cards? Some of the images are pretty cool.. but some are down right buns. I feel I need to get a box to see them up close. I’ve heard they’re better in person 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@e-dubrippinstuff9820 My first impression of the ROTJ Sapphire is kind of unimpressed. Some cards look pretty weird when 85% of the background image is cropped out and covered in solid sapphire coloring. That said, some cards where the character dominates the photo look pretty cool! I think it would be neat to have a cool Jabba, Rancor, Palpatine, Scout Trooper or something though!! Might be a fun rip for your channel, but I didn't buy any. I'll likely pick off a few singles from Ebay once the "new car smell" wears off!

Heeee's Baaaaaacccckkkk!!!!... I think Topps figured out how to stop damaging the stickers in production by the 4th or 5th series in '77, so ESB and ROTJ stickers not as tough to get higher grades on... I often wonder how much of a factor 'picture composition' is in determining a card's grade because graders see thousands and thousands of different cards and among the roughly 1000 SW/ESB/ROTJ cards there are some pretty forgettable photos... case in point is that #257/A Pair of Jawas that you pulled in a 9: no way that is within the centering guidelines or 65/35 in either direction yet it gets a 9... I would guess because it's a better-than-average picture composition... Not sure whether I agree that getting a high-grade on a card that likely doesn't deserve it is a desirable outcome: sort of calls into question the whole 'grading' thing and it presents a conundrum should you go to sell it... congrats, but this particular grader was phoning it in a bit... good to see you back, though!

Since you collect cards (I do too) and your son loves The Clone Wars(my son does also), you should look into the 2008 Toops Star Wars Clone Wars cards...they are awesome and getting hard to find.

Well… let me put it this way… I will be getting some. So, for what it’s worth, they’re not THAT bad I guess. Plus, I’m not speaking from experience… But! Some of those cards look like buns. The cards that have more background in them than character… look really strange. Some just down right awful. But the good ones are sweet!!

I have NOT…. Yet! I know I will eventually. Some of those cards seem to be atrocious… but yet others, like you say, look really really good. LOVE some of the simpler cards. But the ones that have Vader walking from a far, away from his shuttle for example…. that have tons of blank space, and characters floating in a sea of red or blue, just look really strange. But yet, the title cards are amazing!
