Enjoyed the video and your point is spot-on. Not sure the ruler was perfectly aligned with each cards' edges, so you may want to place the supposedly undersized cards back-to-back with those that got number grades. It would likely be a more accurate indicator of "minimum size". By screwing you over, they encourage you to re-submit, and thus rake in more money from panicked collectors. Just a part of the scam that is TPG.

just had my first card back from PSA undersized. it's a 72 Clemente. will re-submit to SGC. PSA is expensive, they take a long time to grade and are ridiculously inconsistent with their grades. i get that they are the "gold" standard of grading and a high grade in PSA will demand the most money.

My advice. Use SGC. Quick turn around time and accurate grading. I gave up on PSA some years ago. Too bad PSA is held the standard in the hobby because they themselves do not hold the standard. Very nice cards. All worthy of the SGC Tux.

Honestly, you should be measuring the cards outside of their holders. A nice corked back ruler will protect the cards. If you watch the video back, you'll see that most of them when measured, the ruler wasn't aligned correctly. At least one was at an angle and not straight. Maybe it was the angle, from camera to card/ruler? But your negative tone throughout gives a feel like we knew what your ruler was going to show no matter what. No grading company is perfect, but I have not seen the same issues, outside a rare exception. Also, PSA does not charge the grading fee for N6: MinSizReq, cards that are not slabbed.
@enncoinscards409111 күн бұрын
Uh yes they do.

@enncoinscards4091 "N6 Minimum Size Requirement - When a card is significantly undersized according to factory specifications. You will not be charged the grading fee in this instance." You may want to check your invoices. They also do not charge for N8 Miscut.

@@enncoinscards4091 The 2 1971 cards recolored is what concerned me. All these cards were from my childhood collection and I or no one else recolored these. As far as the min size were all 71 or 72 Topps superstars : Palmer and Ryan from 1971, F. Robby and Killebrew from 1972 Topps , F.Robby SSPC also min size! 2 recolored were 1971 Topps Garvey and Mays.

Around COVID time, PSA lost their marbles and became wildly inconsistent. SGC is far more consistent, fair and competent. On the other hand, for non-major stars and commons, because of PSA's set registry, we are forced to go with them. Very few people want a high grade common in an SGC slab because they can't put it into a registry without crossing it to PSA. Keep up the good work with your channel!
@enncoinscards409114 күн бұрын
The set registry was a phenomenal idea on part of PSA. Thanks!

BINGO! It was pre and post pandemic. Pre pandemic they didn't have to both hire new untrained graders and shut down due to volume. To clear the volume and demand after the pandemic the grading has been different. I've had cards come back "min size req" when one was graded and the other was not. Same player, same year, staked together the same size. They were 1969 Topps basketball tallboys.
