This psalm (author unknown) is labeled, “A prayer of an afflicted person who has grown weak and pours out a lament before the Lord.” He cried out, “Hear my prayer, Lord; . . . when I call, answer me quickly” (vv. 1-2).
In difficult moments, we must remember that although we may not know what is coming next, He does.
Let us take encouragement from vv. 27, “You are the same and Your years will have no end. It means that our God is forever loving, just, and wise, and we can be assured that He will always be consistent to His character. He is the source of everything good, and everything He does is good.
Nothing lasts forever, but our God will remain consistently good to those who are His own.
