The Catholic church in which I was raised taught the children that their only sin was being born. Some of us asked "Then why live?" I remember telling people around me that if God truly knew what we were going through, here, He'd forgive us for not wanting to continue. All of the misinformation was ego, control issues, and lies. No one can hold a sunbeam in their hands or tie it up with marionette strings. This idea bothered "authority figures" until they called people like me " demonic" and said I'd go to Hell- do not pass GO, do not collect $200. I learned to see them as already living in their own version of where they wanted to send me, to politely refuse their "loving" gift, and to live my own life. It was hard to get away from them, since they had their hooks in so many others around me. Thank Heaven for the movie Labyrinth: "You have no power over me!" I was considered insane and finally left alone. There's my forgiveness, eh?

“You can’t have it for yourself if you’re unwilling to give it to others.” YES! I literally just asked God to please help me understand why I am so understanding because I feel like people have taken advantage of me. But what you said here gave me clarity to continue to shine. Thank you!

But what are we doing here, why are we having this nightmare?
@ArielGatoga Жыл бұрын
That's a big question. We all got involved with misusing our minds to think of separation from our source rather than oneness with our source. Our minds are very powerful and the nightmares of this world are a result of that. Psalms are a method of healing that split in our minds when we use them as such. BB

i honestly have trouble accepting the idea of God's will being done in my life. I want what I want out of life, and dont know what id be signing up for by giving up my will. So many bad things happen to good people and it's easier for me to accept that as luck of the draw vs God's will eg children rape, people born with cancer etc...I initially turned away from Christianity because it didnt give me answers on how to get what I want in life...but you are bringing up a lot of the same concepts here. sigh

The will of the Infinite is not at odds with your will. It's not something separate from you. It's the part of you that already knows what will make you happy. There is no foreign power that you relinquishing your personal will to. I often use the image of the sun, with sun beams. You are a sun beam, and there is not another sunbeam like you. You are completely unique, as are your needs, desires, etc. The human ego mind is filled with self-destructive ideas and behaviors, and these thoughts are what we often confuse as being our "will." It's akin to the sun beam believing it's all alone and separate from the sun. The idea of giving up those thoughts in favor of the thoughts of our higher self is what we art talking about here. "God" is not something outside of us.
