Where did the ego mind we all have, originate from? Since God created us perfect and wants us to live perfectly, but we are tainted by our ego mind--where did that come from? (I've been chewing on this question for a while..)

It came from nowhere. It doesn't really exist, but since we have the freedom to use our minds as we like we have gotten into a habit of thinking in ways that are counter to our nature. The only way to think thoughts that are not of God is to do so within the realm of being "asleep." We have every right to do this if we desire, but it's not real. The Ego doesn't exist, but we think it does. This is how we use our own creative ability in a non-creative or destrictive manner. Blessed be.
