THE BACKSTORY
Before you watch, let me first tell you a story regarding the song in this video. Songwriter/Singer Christene Jackman shared that recently her mom handed her an old, worn little bible. It turned out to be the gift her father had given her mother the day of Christene's birth. Opening the tattered front page, she discovered scripture references scribbled by the hand of her late father outlining the Way of Salvation, as well as one specific psalm. That psalm listed was: Psalm 27, one that had always been among her favorites throughout her life. Jackman has now recorded this moving musical interpretation of Psalm 27 in keeping with the Psalm that was spoken over her life at birth by her father and her Heavenly Abba. "Coincidence" is not a kosher word :)

(This is my late husband's account.) This song brings back such tender memories of me & my husband at our cabin in the woods. It was a balmy afternoon. The sun filtered through the trees above. We had both cabin doors open so the dogs/cats could come/go at will. Yah had brought us together. I called him my King David. We were so much in love & so happy enjoying listening to your beautiful song honoring our Creator - unaware we were to have only a few short years together. I praise Yah that He saw fit for me to be with the most amazing, loving individual I'd ever met. Sorry to hear that, I pray his death was not a terrible event? (Loss of salvation and damnation) hopefully he is with the LORD? It brings to mind one pastor who lived in the same county as a Deacon in my church and they often went jogging together, being in the CoC network. Well, this hale and hearty Pastor died suddenly at 33 years of age. Dropped dead after or during his run. I actually asked myself if he said "no" to the LORD on something and God simply punished him for his disbelief or disobedience or was it simply he had over-exerted himself and had killed himself trying to be too healthy? This has always been one of my favorites but it especially came to my mind as I heard Sapir Cohen 's testimony about praying psalm 27 for a month before October 7th and then throughout her time being held as a hostage in Gaza! Even though her captor hated her, he drew a candle with her name on it because he said she was the only light in the darkness! Wow! I felt suicidal Monday. Thursday I had a breakdown at work and my boss put me on a leave. I have never felt so dark and stuck in the more as I had but I know I will come out of this stronger than before. The 27th is one of my favorites as well as the 29th and 91st. Love your music and your heart for the Psalms. I've been listening to your channel for about 5 yrs and just recently began reading the Psalms (again) now with my husband, one each night. And when we came to Ps 24 I had to search you out bc I knew you had a video on Psalm 24. Anyway, tonight we read Ps 27 and when I opened YT to find you, Psalm 27 was listed in the feed. I played it for us and while listening, half way thru my husband said, this is very soothing,.... And within seconds I heard him breathing heavily and he was sound asleep!! So calming is the Word of the Lord, that it reminded me of how King Saul was comforted by David's playing the harp. Also wanted to add that I never read descriptions, but I did with this one and was encountered by it. I praise the God and Father of OUR Saviour Jesus Christ for gifting you with creating memories with King David's lyrics. Blessings! Edited for punctuation.

Thank you with all my heart. Every word in the Psalm reflects where I am at this moment. I cried and felt the fear of G-d when David was crying for Adonai not to abandon him or turn His face away from him. I could not imagine being away from His dwelling. Like David I refused to fall in fear and turned my thoughts on Who my Lord iS. He is my Light and my Salvation. In faith i proclaimed my confidence in Him, rejoiced in His promises, even if my heart did not feel, took comfort in knowing that though my parents HAVE abandoned me and my friends HAVE been false witnesses, HE SHALL NOT ABANDON ME. Though my life seems lost, I also proclaimed that I shall enjoy the fullness of my Salvation on this earth, not just when I die. Our Avinu, in His Mercy spoke to me and answered to have courage and to wait, the LORD has spoken and I will be confident. He is my Light and will continue to be my Salvation. I can imagine your father perhaps had a time such as this, when you cannot trust anyone, when you lost someone dear to you, when you felt that you passion for Him, your desire to dwell with Him alone was taken over by fear, looking at others for help instead of being confident in our G-d. I also cried when I knew that without Him I had nobody and my desire burnt to learn His way so that I would not go astray and would never again experience this terror of being farther from Him. I know He will not let me go, but I want Him to look at me with favor and all I ask is to be in His will and serve Him. I cannot thank you enough. It is wonderful what you do. I believe there is power in proclaiming and singing in the language of the chosen people of G-d. Your work is a ministry. I feel how much care you put in each word. I do not live in the States as Yeshua sent me in Europe to serve him. Why and in what ministry is not clear, but He will lighten my path. I mentioned it because I do not know if you sell through digital downloads worldwide or CD in specific places. It would interest me to know more about the album that includes this song.
