If there is anything I have learned in last 10 years of mostly wilderness, it's that I can choose to praise the Lord for who He is even though I understand little about what's going on. Thank you also for acknowledging that we question if we are truly saved. So much to learn & so little time (agewise).

The Bible tells us that "not many of you should be teachers". That could not apply to you pastor Paul. Thank you for your spiritual insights. I found this to be soul stirring. May the Lord continue to bless you

I was in one for 14 years, now find myself in a new one, of a new flavor, that has gone on far longer than I thought, with different scenery. I am, "in the change of life," so when you mentioned that, I chuckled. Please pray for me to endure and choose joy. The situation is getting worse, not better, as often happens. I want to be able to laugh again, despite whatever I am going through. I also loved what you said about thinking other Believers aren't saved. It is one of those private things we usually won't admit. I have thought it, and probably people have thought it about me. We are a peculiar people. Thanks for this teaching. Jesus is faithful and glorious and merciful. Amen

It’s a beautiful statement that we “reset our priorities” in the wilderness and is usually the peace and satisfaction we are longing for but we do not know how to get it or have that breakthrough until we are put in a place of finding strength and rest in the Lord. Thank you Pastor, Paul-you always nail the words that divide soul and spirit to discern our thoughts and motives of the heart and you always point us to the Cross, to our Father and Savior Jesus Christ. 🙌🏻🙏🏼🙌🏻

Early will I seek thee, my flesh longeth for thee, my lips shall praise thee, I will bless thee while I live, I will lift up my hands in thy Name, my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips, I remember thee upon my bed, meditate on thee in the night watches, In the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice, my soul followeth hard after thee

Pray for our church as I do believe there is a “pruning” happening. We have lost 3 pastors within months. 1 resigned due to circumstances that I don’t know the details, but it seems something happened that caused chaos in the church. After that the former pastor took over with another pastor who was a teaching paster and they both were wonderful teachers. Then the former pastor passed away and it was a sting to our community. With that the teaching pastor then stepped away. We have a part time pastor who is teaching every other week. He is also a good teacher with funny dad jokes. But, he is not there all the time. We have had elders teaching on some weeks. Pray that what God is working in our church brings us to draw closer to Him.

Had to laugh at how the truth hit. Me myself and I have been having a pity party the past few days, not seeing nor seeking God and feeling guilty about this adding to my wilderness wondering. I’m glad that that schizophrenic little voice in my head wouldn’t leave me alone and I started searching again. Thank you Pastor Paul, this Psalm is just what I needed to hear.
