In the past 6 months I was betrayed 4 times by my closest confidants. One being my wife who was spiritually attacked so terribly that she was convinced I was cheating. I haven't cheated on a partner since I was 17. Im 35 now. Then my best friend betrayed me by telling a secret from over 5 years ago. I bought my first investment property and the 2and month an old friend came to me with a pregnant wife asking for money. I gave him a job and let him stay in my fully furnished Airbnb in Dallas. After they had the baby, they became addicts and squatted for 6 months costing me my entire savings. I was broken. Then I helped a family and fomorrow I have to sue them for fraud. Within 6 months, I am out 50k but worse. My soul was broken. This Psalm opened to me today and now I GET IT. and I laugh at every hangup. FEAR IS GONE

I listened to Psalm 55 and I thought what situation would bring such an agonizing prayer. But, this prayer is really true, I have come across such pain recently. Being abandoned and conspired against by some people whom I thought would fight tooth and nail for my welfare. The hurt- indescribable....! I feel like I have to learn to talk to God honestly with a humble heart.

I honestly had no idea that for the most part, you don't go to people with your problems, I never realized that. I thought to myself, then what is the purpose of family and friends if you can't come to them for help with a burden? According to this study mostly you just go to God for help, it's difficult to find the balance in having relationships with people and knowing what to share and what not. I still do not have it figured out, but I trust the Lord will help me with this question in His timing. This study has helped me clarify this question for myself more, thank you!

one more Paul, do not seek revenge against those who trouble you. Romans 12:19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” 20To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Yes. We learn a lot about what David is going through. It is hurtful! Agonizing! Some if us experiment this kind of painful situation . We also can learn how to turn to God for help, fir comfort, understanding.,. Only way is to seek God’s face to give us.... it is painful !!!! Where do we find the remedy? From our God Almighty. I love The Psalmist. I learn a lot from him. No matter what, he always turn to God...

I feel forgiveness plays a very important part of my life. Although I see it, and know that holds the key to my past scars 😢 but I don’t understand the process. But by what the pastor speaks on about speaking Grace about others I may not like or praying for them, I think can be a good practice to start with. I never had resentment at my sister but now that I see what she has done to bring my friends and family against me. I am now angry. I always thought I was messed up and did everything I could to be better until I realized it was never enough. Now I have so much anger at the evil she has put me through. She tried so hard to destroy me 😢

The people who hurt me were either into cults or false doctrine so it was easy to forgive. Though I struggle with it for many years as it came as a trauma and shock to me and was greatly demoralized with their acts as I was quite young and alone. From India

Are there different types of complaints? I was told you don't complain because of what is in Old Testament. Their complaining got them bit by snakes or swallowed up by the ground.

In this case it means to pour out your heart before God, to talk to Him about your pain, your sorrow, to bring it to His feet, whereas the Israelites were murmuring and complaining AGAINST God Himself.
@yasminpanasjuk6824 жыл бұрын
They complained because they didn't trust that God could give them water or food, even though He already has multiple times before. Their complaints were "why have you brought us out of Egypt, we would rather be in Egypt right now", saying they would rather die in their sin than trusting the Lord to bring them to the Land of milk and honey. The OT is showing in the flesh what is happening in the spirit. If you love your sin more than the Lord then you're drinking of the cup of the snake, not of the Lord. But God made a way out of those snakes, by dying on the cross. Moses held up the snake on a stick, just like Jesus became our sin (snake=sin) on the cross.
