My father died by suicide just like his father did. My great grandfather was abusive to him, 2 of my uncles were murdered- one at 17 and another uncle died of a heart attack last year. The last living uncle will not speak with me. 3 generations of total depravity and death sit behind my beautiful wife and 2 boys- all who live in comfort and lack nothing yet I'm alone to bear the pain of so much loss and no one knows. No one to mentor me or to process all of this out, I sit alone and try to keep the tears back and the mask on. God has asked me to bear these burdens and bear them I will- but it is no less painful- I feel a pull to join my fathers.

I am so sorry to hear about the heavy burdens you are carrying and the deep pain you’ve endured. You are not alone, even when it feels like it. God sees your suffering and cares deeply for you. Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” It’s okay to not have all the answers and to feel the weight of it all-but please don’t keep it bottled up. Consider sharing your heart with someone you trust, like a pastor, a counselor, or a friend who can walk with you through this. Even though it may seem like you are carrying this alone, God can provide strength and healing in ways we don’t always see at first. Your wife and boys are evidence of the new life God has given you-evidence that His grace is already breaking through the darkness. Your story matters, and your resilience can be a testimony of God’s sustaining love to your family and others. Please know there are people who want to listen and support you, even in the moments you feel like you have to keep the mask on. You don’t have to bear this burden alone. Let the God who carried the cross for us carry your pain, too. Praying for your strength, peace, and healing. You are loved more than you know.🙏❤
