False accusations are very difficult to handle emotionally and spiritually because they’re frustrating and unfair, and we are tempted to want to work it out on our own. When we cannot do that, we feel anxious and exhausted. The key is to get alone with God, lay it at His feet, knowing that He is the Just Judge, and He can work it all out (and even for our good). We ask the Father for the peace that surpasses all understanding and for a restful night’s sleep. He is faithful. Thanks for the teaching, Dr. G.

False accusations are difficult to handle emotionally and spiritually because they are false! We know they aren’t true so they hurt. It’s especially harsh when it’s someone we’ve loved and trusted, someone who we called friend or a part of our family. Our natural tendency is to want to defend ourselves. Sometimes the best thing we can do is be quiet, which is truly a challenge for me! Yet, as I walk with the Lord I learn more and more the power in silence. “I will keep watch for You, my strength, because God is my stronghold.” (Psalm 59:9 HCSB) God is my defense. We can only come to this place when we have an intimate relationship with God, and that comes by spending time in His Presence and in His Word. We can bring our hurts to Him. He will comfort us. He will give us His peace in the midst of the hurt and disappointment. Be Encouraged!
