as usual dimash never ceases to impress! love that he opened with the children and then sang with them in a gentle and kind fashion which honestly made it even more sentimental, your analysis of the music and the kind singing being done is also great to hear! it helps me appreciate it even more!

What Dimash did in this song was impressive: He gave the kids the spotlight! He let them open the song, accommodated themselves to their limitations, led them, played a measured solo, prepared a "bed" for the children to shine and finished by tucking them in! There may be more beautiful, more technical, more touching versions... But no one can dispute that this version warms our hearts and souls through its simplicity and commitment to little ones!

I agree with you that many shows on Chinese TV are prerecorded, but this one happens to be live. Perhaps you don't know Dimash well enough, but I can tell in a few seconds when he sings live and when not, so I am not sure about the kids, but Dimash 100% sings live here. He also performed another song, Golden, on this show, just after he performed this song, and you can see it there too.
