I learned regular old-school Braille, starting when I was 17,& later completed my learning when I was 18.I can read grade 2 Braille, I can write it also. I had heard of grade 3 Braille , but, Never learned it. Is this grade 3 Braille ? Man, it sounds hard,I hope that Grade 2 Old School Braille does not get fazed out completly!!

I am a current Braille user, and I am not at all excited about the prospect of this new UEB. Why delete 9 contractions? Also, you can translate from print to Grade 2 American English braille just fine. I won't deny that there is something good to be said about making symbols available which were not represented before, but in all reality, you could use the nemeth = sign, and why wouldn't people understand or recognize it?

I agree with y plus using computer is the wrong way use the braillewriter because y don't need power to use it just paper what happens when the computer world crash then what!

My Braille tutor doesn't like the new code either. She is confused with it

Just a small correction: the symbol for underlining a word is dot pattern dots 456, 1, not 456, 5 as mentioned in the video.

it simple use the braillewriter not computer because y depend on electronics what happens when y lose power how can y produced braille without power y can't but with the braillewriter y can no power just paper
