From your description, maybe my dad was Asian in spirit😂 I made a C in school, not even a failing grade, and he came and sat in the class with me. He told all the kids he was there because my grades were bad. It was so embarrassing. He also made me write essays to turn in to him every week on different historical figures.

While I’m fortunate that my parents rarely compare my siblings to other kids but I have heard of people who had a lot of stress of constantly being compared us so I kinda emphatize with them For me, I have a few friends that likes to brag a bit about themselves but I normally would just indulge them as long as I can and just continue on with the convo
