The care sheet issue really underlines the main issue with care sheets: people mistake surviving for thriving. Insects and arachnids tend to be built like tanks and can survive a lot. Thriving, on the other hand... that's the tricky part.

Red runners are a hoot, far more interesting than dubias, have you ever watched them run off with food? They take their time picking a choice morsel, then suddenly grab it and run away at top speed! Lol 😆, love it:) But I am also glad to have them as feeders, their speed is interesting to a lot of critters, and they don't bury themselves (dubias would frustrate me by diving in immediately). Now I so want some of these emerald ones 🙄, but will have to wait until its not a choice between them or food..... Keep having fun with your bugs!!!

Hey Dave! What a great video! Great update, these guys seem to be doing very well! These are such pretty roaches, wow! Truly living jewels! I chuckled a bit when you helped yourself to some apple, haha i too Dave like a good apple now and then. Hopefully these guys breed well for you Dave. Btw: Sorry for my late comment, wasn`t able to watch this until now because of work. And yesterday evening, my parents took me and my brothers out to a family supper (Montana`s) and a movie (Thor) and we played a few family games on the Playstation4 when we got home from the movies, one of my friends just started her job there today, we saw her, i am in fact talking about Anna, you probably remember when i mentioned her. So that was fun. But i just made one of the hardest decisions that i`ve ever had to make Dave, a few days ago now. One of my friends that i`ve had since second grade (a decade ago) has been turning toxic towards me over the last 1-2 years and making my Mental Health go downhill. I finally blocked her on all social media last night so she can`t possibly reach me. She got her cousin to reach out to me, i told her why i did this, and Sara (my ex friend) was apparently surprised. Sara is a hypocrite. For years and years, i thought that she cared about me, but she never did, i was just too blind to see it. I gave her many chances and she continued to hurt me mentally. Yesterday i had a particularly hard and stressful shift and she pulled me into an argument and blamed me afterwards. She had a bad habit for creating arguments about stupid things and blaming me afterwards. I said: right, enough is enough, she was constantly invalidating me and just not being a good friend, i can`t explain it but she was toxic towards me, i don`t know why or even if there is a why. While she was sleeping, i blocked her on EVERYTHING (Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram). She`s not a part of my life anymore, a relic of my past, she`s history. Dave, i feel like i`ve just faced my demon, i should have done this years ago, she can`t hurt me anymore, if i see her in public, i`ll just pretend she`s not there, same with school, i`m not gonna get pulled back in like all those years ago. I guess i got a little carried away Dave, sorry about that I guess i just poured my emotions into my laptop. Have you had any toxic friends? I can`t really put into words what Sara did to me, but i`m just glad it`s over, i did the right thing. I reached out to some of her friends and they have almost the exact same situations as me. And she wonders why she does not have many friends... Sorry Dave, i guess i just needed to get that off my chest but in all honesty, i tell you everything pretty much. I hope you, Camera Lady and the Beasties are well. Do reply with your thoughts to my comment.

Hi noah, sorry to hear about your predicament unfortunately it is a part of life and as we grow we realise that we dont need such negative things in our life , I learnt from a very early age in my early /late teens that all I needed was a handful of very close friends maybe 5 people I call friends everyone else are aqaintancies I still have these friends today apart from my closest friend who I grew up with who passed 4. years ago , what im trying to say is life is to short to waist time on negative things or people , surround yourself with good people who love you for you and not what you can give them , people who are there for you when you need them, never feel sorry for some one who is trying to hurt you , they dont deserve your thoughts , stay strong my friend and trust your instincts ❤️❤️❤️

@@daveslittlebeasties Thanks for the kind words Dave. I too only have a handful of close friends that i trust completely. I`m sorry to hear that your best Friend is gone Dave, must have been hard for you at first. As it stands right now, the friend that i`m closest to and i trust most is Anna. I completely agree with everything you`ve said Dave, now i realise that she was affecting my heath and well-being, and i was just too blind to see that she was not my friend.

I got the hissing roaches to feed to my giant monitors and I’ve honestly fell in love with them they are such bizarre and interesting critters so now I have a bunch as pets instead of feeders. Is there any tips you could give me to help get the hissing roaches breeding?? leaves males and females together in a dry environment, perhaps in a plastic container in a fairly hot area about 35 degrees celsius and in a short time in a few months or less depending on the temperatures they will mate and release from about 5 to 30 babies, possibly avoid the substrate and put only egg cartons vertically, this method is almost identical to the method of reproduction of the dubia but in our breeding it worked great. Ps. do not forget dry and wet food for excellent reproduction. Good luck👌👌
