ow that I know these exist, I'm going to be on the lookout for them! What do you think of pseudoscorpions?

I still have the "Spiders and their kin - Golden Nature Guide" from when I was a kid where I learned about the existence of these little creatures. From the guide: "PSEUDOSCORPIONS are common everywhere but are rarely seen because of their secretive habits." Many decades later my father would call me over inquiring about this tiny bug he found in my house, it turned out to be a chelifer concroides which was verified by a local entomologist. I was ecstatic being able to finally see one! Thank you for this episode!

I love pseudoscorpions so much, I was so excited to see this video appear! Last summer I was reading a bunch about them and thought "there is an old piece of wood in the yard, maybe there is a pseudoscorpion under it" and I checked and there was! I had never seen one before, but it is so wonderful to know they are always around. A very funny thing about them is phoresy, to travel they will just grab the leg of an insect and let go after it flies somewhere else!

Oh I didn't know that! That's so cool! And it's awesome you found one. So glad you enjoyed the episode ❤️

I like to show people all the wild nature around them. Often I hear “wow I’ve never seen one of those!” And I respond “well it’s not the first one to see you!” Most folks like it pretty well

not only are they COMPLETLEY harmless to humans, but the absolutely DEVOUR any and all pests you may not even know you have indoors, don't kill these guys, just politely leave them be and thank them for their services.

I have actually found a couple of these in some books, especially in the old house I used to live in. They are as small as some letters in books. At first I thought it was a tick or a beetle but it was not shy nor was it aggressive; it walked on the book and the pages like it was navigating those Escher staircase illustration.

I can imagine they would be letter sized! That's really neat!

I've only ever seen one of these once, and I thought I was going crazy. I was in my bathroom and saw a little speck moving around, and looked closer, and could've sworn it was a tiny scorpion. Never seen any in my bathroom again though

They like toilet paper, probably due to mites.

Sometimes I wish they were a little bigger, their size almost makes them more like predatory mites than scorpions.
