I cry each time I watch this performance of Proud, and while watching this reaction video too haha. They’re all very emotional because in 2006 year end in Korea they were sweeping all big awards left and right literally the no 1 group in Korea in 2006 with no proper rival at their level. But they went to Japan without understanding the language and had to start from bottom (singing on stage covered with newspaper, only 50 audiences, singing at the stairs of Apple Store, going to Buddhist university etc to promote themselves as a new `Japanese group as that time there’s so such thing as K-pop. They had to hand out flyers to strangers on streets and places to promote themselves. They had to learn the language and weren’t provided with interpreter to establish themselves as a Japanese group and they stayed there for months with no family and friends. There were no prompters last time so they had to memorise all of their Japanese songs. They performed on stages so small they could barely dance and used cable microphones even when they’re dancing resulting in a tangle on stage. They were so lonely and depressed and honestly thought of giving up in Japan but they slowly gained popularity. Budokan 2007 was their first own concert with big audience, and it was the first mark that made them realise they’ve made it in Japan, hence they’re being so emotional, and the lyrics were fitting because it can be for their fans and group members.

This was the end encore song of their Japan concert with a success. It shows how far they’ve come from performing on the stairs of shopping centers as an underground singer in Japan, despite being so famous in Korea at that time. ❤

Back then, K-pop was not as popular in the world as it is now, and entering the neighboring Japanese market was considered a great success. A Korean company with little experience in overseas expansion sent them to Japan to start from the bottom, and in the end, they successfully performed at Japan's biggest Tokyo Dome. At that time, all they had to do was trust each other and work hard. I sometimes think, "If KZbin had developed the way it is now? What would have happened to them?" At that time, they have not been able to preserve their glory, but their experiences remain as a stepping stone for each member's individual entertainment activities. And I still strongly support them and enjoy their music! It is so much fun to watch these reaction videos! Thank you very much.

In the past, there’s no oversea popularity in the industry. It’s a time that nobody ever heard about kpop and no foreign boy group who success in japan before. The company throw them from the biggest award boygroup in kr to the bottom of japan which no one knows them. They have to live in japan, start learning the language, practicing, start the show from rookies again in other country without anything. Finally after years pass, from just a foreign noname bg, they become a first star who can perform in arena in japan so they re very emotional on that day.

Junsu is amazing. He sings perfectly even with tears in his eyes and still sounds stable. Also he did a perfect ending to this song, too Through the spotlights, those shining tears are just like little diamonds on his lashes~~ fragile yet beautiful❤❤❤I love you, Kim Junsu💖💖💖

Isn't that so touching? That's why I loved DBSK back then! Of course, I still enjoy Kim Jun-su's musical these days. Now his singing and character expression are even stronger!

Geoff Castellucci released his new video today.... Song of Durin. He brought back the dwarves with another dwarf. It is absolutely beautiful.
