That Normal channel sounds great, really loved how the Petty song sounded on that channel. So... when does the Top Boost prototype build start?

There won't be a prototype on that. It's the Normal and Pentodes that are a little tricky to get singing, but all the kinks get worked out on this one. Then it's just a matter of someone ordering an N/TB version or an EF/TB version. Details on all that to come soon.

Very soon. Mojotone changed their pricing structure and I have to confirm some things with them on Monday. And this prototype is letting me finalize the parts list, though that will only fluctuate by a dollar or two.

Your comprehensive knowledge of guitar amps is a bit humbling. You make an excellent point about voltages being the goal, not necessarily matching component values. Your build sounds fantastic already! My first build - that’s been rebuilt twice already and needs another do over - was a Tweed Princeton (5E1/5F2-A), and getting the voltages down without adding too much filtering was a challenge. Is the push/pull pot a coil tap on the humbucker? Is that a Neutriks Silent plug into the amp? I’m making a new guitar cable this morning and just got one of those yesterday to try out.

Sorry, thought I said but I forgot. A client's AC30C2X that came in for mods. Using it as a speaker cab. New Celestion alnico Blues. They need some breaking in, so this works out well for everyone.
