About the comprehension close, can we use "shouting" instead of "shout"? Why or why not?

Hi Terri, yes both “shout” and “shouting” are possible. The 2 areas to consider 1) whether we are trying to stress that the action is complete (“shout”) or ongoing (“shouting”). 2) whether the action happened once (“shout”) or repeated (“shouting”). Based on the context on the passage, it is possible for both answers to be accepted (:
