Nice to see wout looking pretty good. Hopefully his training schedule lets him be fit enough to challenge at Flanders and Roubaix. MVDP looked positively beastly! Not root against him (I’m a big fan) but I kinda hope his focus on cx word champs messes a little with his training for Flanders.

More aerodynamic on the fast sections, more control on the rough sections, and less likely to get cored in the event of a pileup.

normal mtb flat bars are somewhere between 700-800mm, more than double the drop bars width, not ideal for this kind of race

Weight of a mountain bike is too high, and the dampening isn't used.

It would also be very bad aero wise on the paved sections, the tyre width is limited in the rules though as I’m sure wider tyres would probably be faster for most courses

CX is a class, ruled by a technical sheet. You cannot ride on any bike type.

It’s not that she’s a woman, it’s that she said something which wrecked her credibility. I assume it’s Helen Wyman, who we should all remember, but it’s becoming all too common to hear commentators who simply aren’t good at it. Luckily, I sorta like watching ‘cross with the sound off… I mean I like listening to good commentary, but if these are my choices…
