Super cool video my man I was laughing that my friends main the Ramar was F tier, while nervously waiting for where my girl the Hunewearl would end up, did not disappoint If you want to do more nerdy mechanics deep dives, videos on the main differences you're talking about, like the gendered attack animation, frame differences in casting and maybe unique versions of the spells by the Forces would be cool As a casual but huge PSO fan, I don't really understand any of that stuff. I just gradually overcame everything by grinding to shocking degrees

So fonewm starts with 2 most mst but until what level does it remain true? I was pretty sure fonewearl had higher mst and she does at 200 and max stats.

I always hear people not liking HuMar on Ultimate but I've never had a problem with it in casual play. High DEF, DEX, MIND mag is key though. You can't worry about rare mags because it doesn't do anything that matters for HuMar. You have to max out DFP, ATA and Magic. You're a hunter, you have more than enough power to be effective. Edit: This is before you end up developing your final mag btw.

Yea every type is viable in casual play. Humar is looked down upon on ultimate because everything he does, other types do better. Every other hunter is better at end game solo and party play for example.

Does the ID matter? Like for the kind of map youre getting or the chances to find units etc?

ID does matter for drops and shops, but not for maps. Each ID has its own odds for acquiring certain weapon types. Also changes the odds on the tekker for certain weapons. There are also different odds for slots/units and a rarity modifier for units on both Redria (+1) and Pinkal (-1) both of which can be used to your advantage. Redria is also the ONLY ID that can find 4s frames in Normal mode. There are also a few rare enemy drops that can impact the run, though they aren't ~usually~ the plan. In general: If you're a force, you want to be Redria, unless you want to try for a Dragon/HP drop from Nar Lily, then you go Oran. If you're a ranger, you want to be Greenill for Rifles + Better tekking on Rifles or Viridia if you just cannot live without a Shot. If you're a hunter, you're either picking Pinkal to make every C1 and C2 unit a Knight/Power + good Partisan drop chances, or Oran for increased dagger + dagger tekking odds + chance at Dragon/HP. Or Redria if you hate daggers and want to roll for potentially better units.

What level does FOnewearl overtake FOnewm in terms of MST? At level 1, FOnewm only has 2 more points of MST, but at level 200, FOnewearl has 102 more. So assuming the growth rates are anywhere near linear or similar, FOnewearl would make up those 2 points at a very low level. But you're saying she struggles to learn Ra- level techs, compared to FOnewm, which would surprise me. But I can only find their stats at level 1 and 200, and nothing in between. Just curious, it obviously wouldn't impact the other massive advantages that FOnewm has.

I don't know the exact level where FOnewearl starts overtaking, but it's around level 50. Within the context of the normal mode speedruns, FOnewm will always be gaining 6 or 7 MST per level. FOnewearl has 5 levels where she only gains 5 MST and only 3 where she gains 7, so the 2 MST difference at level 1 grows over time. At level 7 the difference is 4, at Lvl 11 it is 7. It's not a lot, but it is significant.

@@verallix Thanks for the reply. I haven’t played this in about ten years, but it was THE game of choice in my friend group for local co-op during high school and college. I’m the type who focuses more on end game potential, so I saw that Fonewearl had the highest MST at 200, and I just assumed growth rates were linear, so she must always have higher MST. Clearly not the case. The fact that she starts lower, then gets EVEN lower, before eventually shooting past is just weird. I wonder what other odd cases like this there are. Lol

That works almost everytime but there's always a small chance that 1 rock will fall in 1 random corner and still hit you. Very, very low chance but still possible.

The stats are so low in Normal mode and the buffs last for such a short time that it's just not worth the time it takes to cast it. You're also (likely) only getting single-target JZ so you're not going to cast it on mobs, really. Off the top of my head the only time any of them are useful would be Zalure on Belra / Falz as RAmarl without a thunder weapon. Or as HUmar/newearl on Falz as it starts to run away. There are definitely waves where you could cast shifta for free, but the buff is so small on the classes that can use it that I'm not sure it would actually make any difference in number of hits to kill an enemy. I've still done so in some runs, just because I could, but I've never done the math to figure out if it's actually doing anything.

@@verallix At level 1 it’s 11.3% base atp, so pretty useless except for bosses or when waiting for spawns. Falz and Volt opt have like 120 def so depends if 5 damage per hit is worth it. Good point on low ATP classes typically being rangers who rely on specials.
