Psoriasis does not discriminate and affects children as well as adults. In the third episode of PsO Let’s Talk Psoriasis, we will address some of the biggest concerns of parents of children living with psoriasis.
Dr Ciara Kelly is joined by Dr Maeve McAleer, Consultant Dermatologist at St. James’s Hospital, Fiona Lawlor, Clinical Nurse Specialist in paediatric dermatology at Tallaght University Hospital and 17-year-old Chris Mulligan who lives with psoriasis. Topics discussed include how to manage psoriasis in children, treatment options, speaking about psoriasis to teachers and friends, and the transition from paediatric to adult care. The panel also answer some of the most common questions posed by parents.
Hosted by radio, and TV broadcaster and columnist, Dr Ciara Kelly, viewers will receive reliable, expert information from Prof. Brian Kirby, Consultant Dermatologist and Dr Paul D'Alton, Clinical Psychologist, both at St Vincent’s University Hospital. They are joined by photographer Damien Broderick who has been living with psoriasis since the age of 18. Our panel of experts also tackle some of the most commonly asked questions by people recently diagnosed with psoriasis as well as setting the record straight by busting some myths!
