Here is a nice trick, you can fill gear then use hurricane => chaos riser => wind parry to release hurricane. This combo makes the best use of 1 gear gauge but listen that tornado dance is not a very useful PA , acro effect is better and gives you some distance and if you have time put some rave there ( that long PA where he just keeps mashing up hits ). I just thought about telling you because it kinda bothered me to see you focus so much on tornado dance it's mostly good for a line of enemies or close range for 1 non-moving weak point!

This is actually a relatively new option. Escape, options, video settings, then indicator settings. I have it set so I only see mine and my party members' numbers, and it's set to Small!

Absolutely! However, unlike FF14, you can't change classes wherever you want; PSO2 is instanced, so you can't change stuff mid mission. You have to visit the class counter to change classes, which is in the center of the main lobby and very accessible.

or save your main & sub class, as well is weapon set, sub palette set, and camos into "myset" at class counter so you could use "/ms# to instantly change to your saved set. (note: # = the set number you want to use)

Yes and no. You can switch at the class counter, but your Mag's stats are more or less permanent (trying to change mag stats costs a stupid amount of in game resources). Mags greatly affect what your stats are. The stats themselves don't really determine your damage, but they do determine what equipment you can wear. One fully spec'd into tech will be bad for melee classes because you won't have enough strike to equip good melee weapons, and vice versa. If you want to switch classes that require different stats (s-attack, r-attack, and t-attack are the 3 attack stats, although 2 classes emphasize DEX.), you will most likely have to buy additional mags, which cost real money.

This is true, but note that while mags cost real money, it's like two dollars of real money for one. A mag isn't required to be effective, but it's definitely required at very high levels. Also, every character you make gets an additional mag.

For levelling, you generally want to run the daily Featured Quest if it's up (A World Engulfed in Shadows being the best, on Super Hard difficulty, even once you're high enough level for XH because the XP bump isn't worth it for the extra time to kill everything), and do bonus keys, since they are almost always going to be the best XP you get. Specifically, you'll want to do Tokyo Golds last and Tokyo Silvers second to last in your list of bonus keys; they give the best XP in the entire game. Also, here's a Braver skill tree, in case you need one: cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/369195528086487054/563633542983319572/unknown.png For getting back into the game in general, try finding a team! If you're on Ship 02 you can put in a join request to the team I manage, IDOLA the Holy, or go for another one. The community has a pretty solid share of people that are willing to help new players out!

I would like to point out to any onlookers that the Braver skill tree Kuroka posted is specifically for Katana Braver. There are 2 other types of Braver builds. Bow Braver, and Hybrid Braver (which uses both Katana and Bow). Each build plays somewhat differently and has a slightly different skill tree. I'm not going to post the skill trees, but I thought it was worth noting since Katana Braver isn't the only way to play Braver. There are many different ways to play each class. You can also change your class starting at level 1, and your "Class Trainer" will give you a weapon for that class for FREE, so don't quit the game just because you didn't like the first class you played. Give the other classes a try and find what works for you.

Yeah, dodging is very important in PSO2! Gunner and Ranger are both pretty good at that, as well as Force and especially Phantom.

I seen this video pop up in my recommended section and watched it because I haven't played PSO since the dreamcast. However, after watching this I was sad to see how the game doesn't really have high-res textures causing the graphics to look pretty outdated. Does it really look this bad? I keep my settings a little low, but keep in mind this game came out in 2012 and is being compressed by KZbin. Its age does show in places, but it can also look pretty great in the new content like the Ramiel EQ.

Well, as of E3 a localization has been announced in partnership with Microsoft. My personal belief is that we'll bet getting NA specific ships/servers without a region lock, and my hope is that it will be 1:1 with content updates and everything.

As far as race goes, this won't matter too much as both Resta and Megiverse are pretty strong on their own, but going with Techer is likely the best bet here. It gets a skill called Territory Burst that increases the range of support techs pretty widely, as well as Shifta and Deband related techs that increase buff timer, damage, defense, crit rate, and even increases max HP. At level 85 it gets a skill where you can buff all party members in the same map no matter how far apart you are. It hits the entire map. It also has a wind element increase which is nice because Zanverse is a support tech that whoever is in it hits additional wind damage per hit and it even counts as your own damage. EDIT: I forgot to put a subclass here. Go Hunter if you need more survivability, go Phantom if you want to do more damage with your own attacks.

Races have a slight difference in base stats but it not matter that much, as long as you have either your main or sub that able to use tech pa you can heal yourselves and everyone well. Even so, in pso2 you probably want to focus on dmg dealing than supporting.

Zanverse doesn't get buffed by Techer's wind element increase like Salem says. It also doesn't get buffed by Weapon Potentials (something you'll learn about later if you continue to watch this series). That change was made almost 2 years ago now. As for support Techer, you want to go Force as a subclass since it'll increase your supporting ability. For race, you wanna be Newman for extra healing, Human for better all-around tankiness, CAST for less healing and more tankiness, and never Dewman since Dewman's basically don't get anything that would be helpful for a support to have.

Technicaly there are 5 Race in the Phantasy star game Human: Generic All around Race Cast: High attack and Accuracy medium Defence and low Tech and Tech Defence(My favorite Race) Newman: Low attack and Defence but high Tech and Tech defence Duman/Dewman: High offensive stat low Defensive stat AKA better version of Human Beast: High attack and Defence but low Tech, Tech Defense and Accuracy But i dont think we will see Beast for a while.... Im still confused honestly why they added Duman/Dewman first instead of Beast i mean sure their stat is worse than Cast because of the low Accuracy but still *They have Nanoblast*

I'm not completely agree there that Deumans are better human variation. Having slightly more attack power is an advantage Deuman offer, but having all around balanced stat like Human isn't always a drawback since not only its lets you able to switch to any class efficiently but also provide some nice coverage in case you need some defensive option. For example: when you need an extra HP for pure offensive class combination like GuFi (Human offer around 60 more hp than Deuman), or when you go into some content which prefer higher defensive stat like UQ Omega Masquerade solo. Yes, all of these dont matter if player didnt going in min-max. Actually a lot of good players still select race base on looks lol I'm here just to point out that Human race aren't the worse Deuman. They're just balanced type.

Fikayoz Below lvl 110, he takes a lot of extra dmg from 15*s like atlas ex, austere and lightstream. Not sure if newer 15 star weapons have the same effect. Some 14 star apparently do some extra dmg too but not as much as the 15 star.

These guides were made when PSO2 only had a Japanese release, and you're likely playing the global version, which has a lot of differences in the way things are translated. Movas seems to be a type of innerwear (clothing) based on a quick arks-layer search.

The game is still really fun, I recommend you try it. The game's built in such a way that you can heal and tank, but those roles aren't especially *required* to have a competent party. Your actual skill is most important rather than memorizing rotations, for example. If you're looking for a good tab target MMO though I have no recommendations, but I hope you find something you like!

I don't think you have the ability to really have a guide for PSO2, there's so many things missing and you haven't even played majority of the classes to their full ability. You will just make a beginner be ignorant to more important things.

Teaching is as much about what you don't say as what you do. Overloading a beginner with every bit of information will cause far less retention; I have gotten dozens of people saying that my guides have helped them. You are a veteran player, this guide is not for you. What you see as essential knowledge is meaningless to a new person. In addition I think it is ridiculous to imply that I need to max out a majority of the classes in the game to be able to tell someone what a mag is, or explain the basics, or even go more in-depth on how PAs and combat work. That is elitist, gatekeeping, and I am fundamentally opposed to it.

I am intentionally giving a very basic description of each class, I never made a single statement on balance, I didn't even say which class I personally prefer or that Summoner is ridiculously hard to level, etc. This is intended as a "you might like this class if this sounds cool" rather than "this is all you need to know about this class". I even asked for descriptions from high level players of each class, having only written the Fighter one myself. I appreciate the criticism, it is clearly well-intentioned but I don't especially agree. I am not trying to tell someone what each class plays like at top level.

I can say that even with that experience I don't actually know how to play techer, force, ranger, or summoner optimally. That doesn't mean I can't still give a basic outline on what their role is, nor does it mean that I can't do research or ask a friend/teammate who mains those classes for help. I'd also argue that knowing how to teach/make a guide doesn't ONLY come from experience with that class. If you are good at theory-crafting and/or have second-hand experience with these classes, it isn't that difficult to explain what their role is. The same goes for the maker of this video. Just because he hasn't played every single class for 500 hours doesn't mean he can't give an overview of what they do.

The guy's settings are low and you're judging it on that? This game dunks on FFXIV in terms of cosmetics, and the effects and sounds in game are actually great, so good luck with that.

I play FFXIV on highest settings. This is a comparison between my favorite FFXIV outfit and my favorite PSO2 outfit: imgur.com/a/rPb2hRw I would like to draw your attention to the fact that you can literally count the pixels (the ones that aren't a blurry mess, anyway) on the Gambler outfit that was a reward for dozens of hours of Gold Saucer farming. *shrug* I don't like doing the shallow graphics comparing, some of my favorite games of all time are NetHack and Dwarf Fortress, but if that's important to you, PSO2 is not lacking. Bear in mind this video is compressed, both by KZbin and downscaled to 720p for my own sanity.

Duh it's about the aesthetic and artstyle. In my eye it look hideous and outdated, compare to soul worker, black desert online maybe even vindictus which I'm used to only make this even worse.

Not every game appeals to everyone. I think this game looks gorgeous, but gameplay matters most, and it's one of few MMOs to not bore me to tears. Thanks for checking out the game instead of immediately writing it off, though.

And then, they release Hero , and put to shame every other class in the game but , instead of nerfing Hero, I loved how they BUFFED the other classes because , I always plays Hero ,since all my other classes are already lv 90.
