PSO2 NGS Benchmark Jailbreak Setup Guide

Everything went fine when I was setting up the mod but when I ran the character creation tool all NGS face textures were missing. Also, some outfits and parts textures are missing. Tried starting from scratch from reinstalling the benchmark tool to jailbreaking but textures were still missing on the same items.

Hi! Thank you for an amazing tool, but sadly I got a problem with jailbreaking. Whenever I try to set pso2bin directory for CMXPatcher, it always says "Unable to read CMX" and at check path it always stays clear, even tho it perfectly works in Salon tool. I checked that I have every dependency it need, so I would appreciate your help!

Make sure you keep it up to date and that you're selecting the right folders. Selecting a benchmark folder as the main pso2_bin can cause problems. But more than that, keep the cmx patcher up to the current release. Sega changes things often.

@@Shadowth117 I used current pso2ngs folder, not benchmark one and cmxpatcher was also the latest release.

So it have to be a bug (tried both 12_13_2022 and 12_13_2022b, didn't work).

Does this actually show ingame for other players? And does it work on JP client?

This puts the parts from the main game into the offline benchmark client. So no, it has nothing to do with online in the first place. Any combination of clients (e.g. JP Main game + NA Benchmark) is fine.

when I go to "Open" on NGS Salon Tool and I try to load my character FDP file it just Crashes/Closes the application... no error messages... just closes it. I also get a "Cannot find CMX ice!" message when loading cmxpatcher up?

In both cases, ensure the pso2_bin is set.

The visual c++ package must also be installed and you may need to give permissions to the program.

Decided to try come back and fix it... set the path's but my directory seem different and mixed... everytime I try to do the jailbreak benchmark it says "Please Select a Valid Character Creator Benchmark pso2_bin path!" none of my SEGA or Steam Folder have the PHANTASYSTARONLINE2_NGS_CHARACTERCREATOR_NA > pso2_bin> data. My folders only have Steamapps > Common > PHANTASYSTARONLINE2_NA_STEAM > pso2_bin > Data. or alternatively SEGA > PHANTASYSTARONLINE2_NA_STEAM > (pso2_bin not in this directory) and there's no CHARACTERCREATOR or alternative PHANTASYSTARONLINE2 folder to be found anywhere within these Folders.

This doesn't alter anything in the normal game. It simply takes information from the regular game and puts it into the benchmark tool while unlocking the parts in the benchmark. The benchmark doesn't interact with the internet so there's nothing to be concerned about there.
