The main problem with this dual quest is that “5min” window. Telling players that they need to be “3119bp” and over is misleading, as to what you really need is a strictly DPS build to complete it.. i get that they are trying to keep players engaged for the lack of content? But this isn’t it 🤷‍♂️

I've just spent loads of meseta upgrading my new armor for the slayer class and I really don't want to spend meseta for a whole new set just for duel quests 😅

Fr The whole idea of a separate set specifically for this backs me away from it. Imagine if masquerade or primordial darkness required a new setup just for them back on original pso2.

@@Sam5D same here mostly. I just wanted some good gear for my slayer since I played a lot as luster in base pso2. I have around 70mil but I am pretty frugal and only buy cosmetics I really like. I bought some of the new clothes from the latest scratch 💸

Yea......no. im not gonna spend mesata and make fresh new gear just for the sake of duel quest. Im gonna clear them once and be done with them. What they shouldve done is randomly apply one of those augments to our gear during duel quests

I went to try it before even checking this video or asking around. I felt depressed when I only did 50% in 5 minutes. I thought I was having some skill issues. Didn't know I was doing like 1/4th the damage that I could even by just using x3 of the augments for the whole 4 pieces of gears.

I wouldnt mind the new quests if they didn't have to make the potency and extra effects exclusive to those dual quests. as a computer science student, in my opinion, thats bad game design.

"Only for Main Class Equippable Weapons." Way to signal that Multiweapons are a useful mechanic, by making a quest type with required augments that outright exclude off-class Multis from being viable. Serves us right for mixing Blades with Saber!

oh i thought it was event...so i spend 20m on my gears...for experiment it -first weapon Neos with all defi agument= result =FAIL no high damage -second weapon + one armour 3 defi agument = result=FAIL only 50% boss HP and time run out -third weapon+ armour 3 defi agument+armour 3 defi agument= result=FAIL one hit from boss guarantee 100% death -forth weapon+armour 3 defi agument+armour 3 defi agument+armour 3 defi agument=result=still in progress (im run out of mesata im broke no money) 20million mesata bye bye

This mode is unfair it's brain dead mode that take only dps build while the game offer you something like dread keeper IV you can't use it to clear this mode because your potency is too low, also to clear this mode you need to be using certain class meta build or else tough luck you're out and sega deemed your character unworthy. If sega want us all to build DPS build why there is class like support or hunter, why augment like defensive augmentation exists? they really flop bad with this mode and it's annoying and insulting. Many people in my alliance use Dread keeper IV because they like it that's how they make balanced character not everyone is DPS freak and Sega need to know that. It's annoying that I am being forced to use brain dead class like br-sla to clear this dumb mode.

That's entirely fair to say. I feel like that's an issue with SEGA's approach. I think SEGA's augments for it were meant to account for differences in player builds and they made a point of saying on the website that "This quest is not meant for all players to clear." but I do think there are better ways to partition off content or difficulty settings. Having the quest just have one difficulty setting still kinda leads the majority of people into the mindset they're MEANT to be able to do it, when I think the answer is more of a 'maybe, if you have the special augs'.

Still don't see why they didn't just take base and add the sand box, multiweps, and keep it based off of level not a "battle power" requirement for progression sake. The damage reduction is wild in ngs making it almost annoying to grind on weps and enhance them. You don't get to craft so you can't do upgrades outside of enhancing. Augmenting your weapon and armor felt alot more rewarding then it does with ngs where it's a chore and requirement just to turn around and see a small jump in dmg output. Considering that you no longer earn skill points by leveling and that you have to do cocoons means 1.) You don't get as much sp to use for skills and 2.) Leveling becomes less rewarding. Seeing someone barely manage to do four digits in damage while at max level is insane and a slap in the face.

What armors do you recommend for the dual quests and should I get a second NEOS A weapon? I'm a force main.

Eclair or Ajax is fine for armor. People have been using a wide range of weapons, Neos A is good but if you can get a Gunblaze with Fatale or Termina Fixa that would be better. Gunblaze does have the part where if you get hit you lose out on some crit rate for a duration but I would say most attacks in Duel Quests are going to instakill anyways so it doesnt matter. Also heard people using other 7 & 8 Stars, mainly having the Defi's makes the biggest difference

do you need to defeat the boss(as in depleting their hp to 0) before the time limit to clear it or you just have to survive till the end?

This is all well and good, but I can't even find info on where they drop normally. If they are expecting us to have these, then I want to farm for them myself, not just buy them from the player market.

At the time of this video, it was only possible to get Defi Augments from the Seasonal Shop and Quests (as shown in the video and still the best method when available). The only permanent way to get Defi augs besides that which they added much later was the Giga Strugment exchange at the Item Trader NPC. You can get Giga Strugments by killing high level Gigantix enemies and sometimes from certain limited quests. Honestly though, it’s much cheaper nowadays to buy the Defi’s from other people than it used to be

So basically Deft Triplble is just Alt Secreta without it's downside, yeah i am just gonna wait and just farm messeta and buy it if i really need it, i don't really want to try to attempt the solo quest 10+ just for a single capsule that don't even have guarantee success to be applied ._.

Yeah, the Triplble's are not as appetizing but the Gigas Maste is the main thing as thats second best to Halphinale currently. It just takes so much that it may not be worth the augment/meseta sink

@@CriticasterQ The only time it might be worth is when the new equipment for 75 came, after that time Giga Maste is probably a bit cheaper than it is now and since we are Upgrading to a new weapon and Units then we need to re-augment

Nah it just bad game design that player need to be 75 to beat lvl 70 boss, this mode is not about skill it's about DPS, even if you flawlessly evade everything counter every move the game deemed you unworthy because you are not glass cannon build. 5 minutes to beat this lousy bosses which I know how to fight and can't beat is because my hunter using dread keeper instead being full dps. Many people using dread keeper for building balanced character, we still have halphinale and mastery it just we refuse to use alts secreta because it's giving negative stats. Soul augmentation Halphinale Mastery IV Addi augmentation/Giga IV Dread keeper IV This make balanced stats that still lean towards dps, how about people that still doing dual potency? Like ranged melee? Techter Hunter, ranger braver do exist and some of this people use multi potency augmentation. The game literally forced me to use meta class like braver - slayer to fight this bosses in order to succeed, other build doesn't hit fast enough or/and hard enough to do the trick. I dislike braver because it have aimbot attack pattern too cheesy for my taste.

​@@gkagara its far worse than that! We are supposed to FARM this to get the augments to make new better augments namely gigas mast. (Which I hope you love farming gigas iv and you got 30% aug success boosts.) We just will have to make a full set if defi gear to beat it sub 2mins at which point the content will be a joke. Yeah its neigh impossible due to dps without the duel quest augs and a joke with them. Not even gonna bother farming them this week and just use the ltq which will drop them and other stuff. Also the uq dropping 2 of the new potential items when you need 60? And yes this is a horrible idea. An idea so horrible everyone I was like I really hope this content isnt gated behind the defi augs told me nah, its gonna be fine. Defi will just make it easier. Instead of making it possible for most people. Even when they have good gear. Nobody had to tell Sega this is a bad idea. Yet they went through anyway I wonder how they will change things. Or if it will even be addressed in the headline.

@@yxngband3356 you can definitely beat them without capsules lol, they added extra time to those quests too since I made this initial video from 5mins to 10mins. If you want to farm them over and over again for fusia capsules though, I highly recommend getting/making defi gear

Imo, I'll probably just save up and stack one of each onto 3x units and main weapon. Otherwise, to me it's just a waste of normal augments. Another lazy design from Sega smh. Not to mention, since this is being shown as "Phase 1" it's likely we get more. The real question there is, will it be before or after we get a new weapon series? Time will tell. Thanks for the vid

This is not just about lazy this is literally forcing you to use certain meta build with meta class to fight this bosses within allocated time frame, bad game design that does not take consideration of different build than glass cannon build and restrict it to certain class. I can finish this using braver glass cannon build but can't clear it using my preferred class.

@@gkagara You do realize that "Ultra High Difficulty" naturally necessitates a meta build, right? The harder something gets, the more you need to optimize. It's not Sega's fault that your preferred class is probably built like garbage in terms of optimal damage. This isn't anything new-high difficulty content always requires you to do the best you can. That includes gearing and affixing properly. It has nothing to do with "bad game design" either, you just don't like the fact you have to optimize damage to do the content. Which is totally fine, but its rather silly to act like they could've designed this in another way without hurting the difficulty to cater to builds not focused on doing damage. If they made it more accessible to those builds, then the damage builds would just roll them over instantly and we'd be hearing the same complaints that things are too easy. You have plenty of places to play with those builds outside of duels.

These are just re-runs of bosses that have existed for a long time, no point in describing the fights. Also with each class it varies wildly in what you will be doing so it wouldn't really help one way or another. Avoid damage, counter, attack, use Defi Augments, you win
