Only put one point into Hunter Physique? So... I just tested this and you're thinking about the numbers backwards. There is no reason not to max it out. The number it's showing you is not the damage reduction, but rather the amount of damage you take. As a subclass at level one: you would take %95 of a 100 damage hit = you lose 95 HP As a subclass at level five: you would take %70 of a 100 damage hit = you lose 70 HP Hope this helps! Something to note here, the extra guard shielding does not work for jetboots skill “jet intensity” (hold normal attack for a combo). This should have been obvious to me since it’s not technically a PA, but I made the mistake myself. I was thinking I would use a shorter cooldown hunter physique and use the extra guard shield to finish the Jet Intensity combo, and do so more often… nope. Now I have a hunter’s physique which doesn’t last long enough for me to complete a full jet intensity combo, and a shield that won’t help me since imo, JB doesn’t need it. The way I salvaged it was, if I use hunter sub, I incorporate more soaring blades skills when I use physique, since SB can only counter 1 attack per skill. It actually helps a bit on attacks with two parts, like the fire lizantos’ projectile attacks, so that I can eat the second hit and complete my skill and not be forced to step dodge. It’s not ideal though.

Jet intensity is not a photon art :) and yea, the soaring blades doesn't have many tools to counterattack with or block since their only mechanic is step-countering and the PA weapon action block. its good for general use since the shield can basically be active every 30 seconds. and if you manage to avoid taking hit, the shield basically lasts forever.

Isnt that a ‘tank’ class? Kinda weird people says theres no such thing as tank class in ngs. Maybe im used to ff14 xD

technically it is since its focused on taking aggro and damage reduction but yea i see your pov XD
