strange fruitはスラングで首吊り〇体って意味合いもあるそうな この曲は元々PSOEP3のラスボス戦の『双子の女の子』の曲 『双子の女の子』は自分達がクローンだと知って自殺した過去あり 数あるクローンの中から一対のクローンがDFに浸食されたのがラスボスだったはず

This is just one of so many amazing pieces of music in this game. It's such a shame we will never see PSO2 in the West. But then, I guess a large percentage of the fans who *really* care about it are already playing the JP version (as I am), so Sega is probably getting a large part of the money they would make on a Western release already, without having to pay for a localization. Maybe that's brilliance on their part, but... I still can't help but think they would have made *more* with a timely Western release. This game is good enough that it could have won a lot of fans back to the Phantasy Star brand if given a chance to do so.

Well the game was just released for Switch in Japan, so we may be able to convince Nintendo to release PSO2 in the West for us. We just have to Ask Nintendo to release PSO2 in English even if they just use the fantranslation until they see the profit in making Sega give in to fandemand.

@@glowaru at this time in 2020 all blocks at ship 2 were almost full. Nowdays NGS barely can fill 3 full blocks and PSO2 is now buried under NGS. I don't think this is the future that Xion wanted tbh.

@@oscarmocci3199 lol yeah I was there but in NA Ship 3. PSO2's future was looking much brighter to me at the time I made that comment. I properly got into PSO2 in November 2020 and had some amazing months with this game as my temporary main hobby for like half a year, so I'm glad I got into the game when I did to experience what seemed to be the game's golden age. I wish PSO2 right now was looking as healthy and thriving as FFXIV, but no such luck.

I know, right? They expect us to settle for serials like Aliens and Football Manager because Sega US "makes money off of them". This probably isn't even Sega of Japan taking a dump on us, but Sega of America being a bunch of dickbags and not doing what JP wants them to do before bringing it here.

+Hobo Joe What was the Stolar snafu you describe? Pretty sure that SEGA of Japan can weather out SEGA of America's bad decisions (they're still making an okay amount of money on PSO2 over there in Japan), but SEGA of America will kill itself. Closest we've got to this game is Spiral Knights. Not a bad title, but it's more the principle of tastes. PSO fans want PSO, not kiddie Robot Mystery Dungeon.

+Kaffekane Bernard Stolar was the in charge of SoA in the 90's and is the guy that basically ruined sega's console race. Sega was massively invested in north america back in the 90's and that guy thought it would be a good idea to prevent half of the sega saturn's library from being localized in NA based solely on a anti-fantasy bias. He thought fantasy games were "too nerdy" and would hurt it's rep. It crippled the saturn and put sega so far into the red that the dreamcast was doomed to failure before it was even being sold.
