Just scored a 1001 model with a bunch of games and movies, a carrying pouch, travel cases for the UMD’s and a house and travel charger all for $120 I couldn’t be happier. My childhood is literally in my hands.

PSP`s are worth it even today. They are comfortable, they are very well made, they have a good selection of games and they are completelly abandoned by sony so homebrew is a thing. The PS Vita is an upgrade, but the PSP feels better in the hands. It will always have a soft spot on my heart and if sony is smart they will make a PSP-2, that does NOT compete agains't their main console but that's worth using it. I would love that. Hell at this point if sone decided to create new models of PSP with custom firmware that is fully locked again but compatible wiht the old UMD format, I would totally buy just to have new hardware XD

Playing PSP games on a phone is convenient for people who never purchased a PSP but I prefer getting a 2nd hand PSP and use that instead. The controls are awesome.

The thing I like about the psp is that it has a removable battery. Ps vita needs to be torn apart to get to it. Also, it's a shame they abandoned umd. I really liked that concept.

Yea now everything needs to be downloaded, would be nice to own physical copies of games but now they want everything to be a subscription model.

While UMD’s were cool and niche, and helped the PSP feel more like a home console on the go, they weren’t really practical. They failed for good reason

I have 2 both the Radiant Red colour 🔥 amazing device. I do have a Vita too but I prefer playing my psp games on the original PSP specifically the 3000 model, even the PS1 games I prefer playing on the PSP. I also have PC engine, Megadrive, SNES & Arcade emulators on mine tailored with my favourite games. I have it modded, tweaked to perfection, I have a Cameron Sino battery they are the best modern battery replacement for the PSP. Great video 😊

Oh I just got that one. My idea is to replace it's shell to to snag the Carnival blue one which a friend has but he wants a green one. The green seems to be the rarest of them, so we'll see how it works, if he doesn't want the replacement shell and the one I have well, I'll stay with the red one :D It's very beautiful.

Just ordered this and sold my switch OLED have the original psp and ordered this model!!!! Got some games ordered tomb raider anniversary for psp and have some PS2 games fatal frame 1 and 2 and clock tower 3 and resident evil outbreak!!!!!! Just got outbreak I'm so happy to get another playstation handheld I cannot wait!!!! And got resident evil extinction for psp!!!! I'm really hyped to get this model got tired of the OLED and decided to go to PlayStation!!!!!!!!! Have a g7 and very happy to wait for it I got the black one!!!!!!!!!I'm super excited for my new psp!!!!!! Graphics are still great for all these games!!!!! Very happy to have outbreak back also got it for 35.00$ had to grab it before it goes up in price!!!!! My advice get some games while you can or keep what you've got I got all the other PS2 games at a nice price before they went too expensive!!!!!!

Typically most people prefer either the 2K or the 3K (the one in this video.) The 3K is the most “advanced” just because they added the microphone and enhanced the screen. But, some people have said the 3K’s screen actually looks worse. I have a 3K and don’t have any issues with it, so I personally recommend it. But your choice

Your comment on the Nintendo switch vs psp price is a bit invalid I must say (especially if your considering inflation) because overall the PSP still has a greater variety of games vs the switch, which only has Nintendo games. If anything the steam deck is #1 and psp #2, IMO the switch, simply just being Nintendo is limited when you come to terms of variety of games.

Inflation would be irrelevant in this situation lmao. If anything, inflation would cause the psp to be much more than $250 so I don’t see your point. For $200 you can get a switch lite which he was arguing is a better console than the psp was. If you used inflation the psp would be even more expensive than $250 now brand new if sold today, making the switch an even better bang for buck than the psp.

@@Gionkey from what i read online it's 3000 only, because of the new screen. i had one and it look really yellow if background is white, but for game with darker colors it not visible at all you can kinda forget its there

I’ve been wanting to play Final Fantasy II Anniversary Edition but I can’t find any way to play the game on my tv. I know that the pixel remaster exists but I’m not interested in that version as much as the psp version just because it looks better to me, there’s the extra content of the soul of rebirth, and I think there’s also some added dungeons. Basically, I’m interested in this version enough to consider buying a psp 3000 because apparently it’s the latest model that’s capable of playing it (although I’m not sure, please somebody tell me if there’s a more recent model capable of playing it). I’d prefer to be able to play it on my tv, but if I can’t then I’m fine with just buying a psp to play it. I have a ps4 pro btw but I’m pretty sure it can’t play that game. Please somebody correct me if I’m wrong, idk.

I would reccomend a PS VITA TV. If you find one of those, they may have some issues sometimes, but they are the best way to play any PSP, PS Vita, PS one and other games on a big TV. Since the Vita can run the subsystem of the PSP on itself, you can easily play any games you want there.

Nah is just scratch. I bought my PSP 3000 silver same as in the video. The screen have tiny scratch but I was able to clean in very good shape and I put a screen protector. Do you want to know how much I bought my silver PSP 3000? $25 dollars and everything was working great 😂😂
