Always wanted a psp go for no reason other than the fact that it looked cool. I have one now and I don’t regret it at all, but now I’m restraining myself from getting the Xperia play...

In fact I also did get it just because it looked cool but now I was using it much more than my psp. And xperia play? Same case it looked cool but I havent used it as much so I guess if u find one for cheap then why not 😁👍

The other PSP models are better, in the othe three models you can play disc games while go is digital only

@@jotaropinochet3671 true, though I always end up copying the game off the disc using my psp 1000 and transferring it to my psp go. The discs are kinda noisy sometimes so I prefer digitally playing them

@@jotaropinochet3671 the best way is to have both as there are many benefits to the psp go too. Mainly faster loading times and no weird noises coming out of the disc drive😀 plus obviously it is much smaller so when I was going somewhere usually I took psp go

@@jotaropinochet3671 PSP Go is the only one with bluetooth though, if that's important to you for headphones. I have a special situation and cannot use regular headphones.... so bluetooth is personally better.

Hi Chuck! I have an Xperia Play, and I use it as an emulator machine. I have PlayStation 1, SNES, NES, Sega Genesis (Mega Drive), Neo Geo, Game Gear, Game Boy, and Game Boy Color on it. It has limited internal memory, so you have to erase and download apps on it to play them. It works a lot better than other devices, surprisingly. Unfortunately it does not play PSP games. It is still an awesome device though. Great Video!

Great comparison of both gadgets. I have PSP 1000, 2000 & 3000 but figured the smaller sliding PSP Go would give my large hands cramp - like my old GBA SP used to. If SONY could make a large Xperia version today that could play PS2 games and maybe Vita, it would be a winner.

I've still got both gathering dust. Loved the Go, such a good little device. The Play was a brilliant concept... But I felt let down by Sonys support for the device. It had such a short life.

I just bought a refurbished Xperia Play 800i for about 85$. I struggled at first, as it had no file browser built into the system. I was able to connect to my home Wi-Fi, but the old web browser could only connect to certain older webpages. I was finally able to find an old website with an old APK to download a file browser. Despite the small 400MB internal storage, I could insert and mount a 256GB SD card. I was then able to install ePSXe for PlayStation one emulation, I got NES, Sega Genesis and MAME working as well. I used any file converter to convert video for it and loaded a bunch of music videos, movies and series. The speakers are really good for such a small old system. My main disappointment is that none of the original games built for the system worked. I thought it had Bruce Lee, Sims 3, a soccer game, a space game already installed, with an option to download Crash bandicoot 3. However none of those games was installed, just an installer file, leading to a prompt to download the game from a server that no longer exists. Does anyone know how I can get the Bruce Lee game download files? I can't find it online. Thanks.

There was some actual psp games on the xperia play but they did have framerate issues ,games like loco roco 2 was one of them but there was only 5 psp games on the xperia play

I have 2 psp Go's. A white and a black. No joke..........the screen on my black psp go looks like an Oled. When it's beside my Oled Vita, it looks as good apart from resolution. Inky blacks and amazing saturation. And it's still the coolest looking handheld console imho.

Great video, even though I already knew about this stuff, it was a little refreshing since I did not realise the xperia play was (in my opinion) so compromised even though it has LITERAL CONTROLS like no other gaming phone (besides MOQI I7s) for it's performence. Last year I bought a nice psp 3000, by the end of of the year upgraded to a Vita and recently I also bought a psp go, because it's very versatile and small as a retro handheld and music player. Now the most vesatile device would be a razer phone 2 (or other phone somehow compatible (like samsung s10+)) with razer junglecat, because it's relatively new, very decent in terms of perfomence as an emulation android + android games (and obviously all phone features) and the controller is comfortable to have in a separate pocket and when you want to game with a controller just click it into the phone case and enjoy a phone-like game console without an aditional SEPARATE handheld. PS: Now someone who wants to have a separate device, that's completely fine, just for someone like me who doesn't often play newer games it's ideal (if I wanted to I could also stream new games into my phone)

I have a vita 1000 version and a Xperia play. The next step will be a psp. I'm not sure if I'm gonna get the psp go version or the original 1000 or 2000 version. Pros for the go are Bluetooth compatibility and design, cons are the non removable battery and I don't know if I am going to have issues playing cause I have big hands. Playing on the Xperia play causes cramps in my hands :D But, I love the Xperia play because it is really a truly portable device. You can carry it anywhere and play it straight out of your pocket. The fact that it is a android is also a plus for me cause it has many more features like Netflix. The only other handheld that makes me feel that way is game boy micro. When I buy the psp I will know for sure :)

I love psp go as it is also very compact and very usable plus my hands are also larger but psp go fits me better than xp play. And I would prbably get psp2000 if u find it for a good price or psp go👍

Yes sim card is working as long as the phone is unlocked for the network u wanna use it for. And of course depends on the country u are living in and on the sim card you re using as some operators doesnt support the older bands. I ve tried it in the uk and vodaphone and it was working fine

I have an Xperia Play and the Xperia Play 4G. Such a cool device and piece of history. It's a great emulator and has some fun Android games too. I actually like the touchpads on the Xperia, they're great for twin stick shooters like Age of Zombies or SpaceTrooper.

There are several iconic phone games from around 10 years ago which are still super fun to play on the Xperia, and for emulation it's great. But the PSP can play psp games, so it just depends what it is you want to play.

I love the psp go you can easily slide it in your pocket and it doesnt take as much space as a regular psp, the only downside I notice is that I can't put a bigger micro sd card like in the original psp because it uses memory card M2 which is expensive and the storage capacity only goes up to 16gb I guess

I never had a psp go but i had psp 3000 and the Xperia Play. The thumbsticks on xperia play were over rated. They werent anything special. Just a gimic. The psp 3000 was better for gaming than the xperia play.
