psp not detect battery issues

I had the exact same symptoms. But I replaced it with a new battery and it was cured. I don't know if it is a voltage issue or a model number issue.

For those who ask how to solve this problem, This might be the power ic issue, it's a tough fix, you can reflow it or replace the ic

same issue but mine does turn on and still use it as normal but when i charge the battery through my psp it doesnt charge straight into the battery but the device itself and give it and external source how do i fix that
