Transfer windows are just so boring now, nothing happens in terms of surprises or excitement. My team, Newcastle, though need to have a good summer or we could be in real trouble. We did nothing last January. Were weaker in September than we were in June (in terms of the squad) and are now weaker today than we were in December. We all want to see this squad strengthened but my worry is that if we don't get Champions league then we won't have this great first 11 to improve! We haven't bought a first team player since Tonali! And people were scared that we'd "Buy the league"....

@ what a load of garbage, nobody had a problem with Americans buying clubs nobody had a problems with the Russians buying Chelsea the Premier League didn’t care neither did fans until Newcastle got bought out and the cartel clubs put every rule to stop the likes of Newcastle and villa spending to keep the status quo , it began with Leicester winning the pl as they didn’t want it , how can these rules be to help sustainability when the likes of Man U are in nearly a billion of debt , it’s all bs to keep the same teams at the top and the bottom teams at the bottom and nobody can challenge the status que you get one or two who get close because the top cartel clubs have a bad season it gives the other teams a chance but they can’t do it every year , so Chelsea man city all got to spend billions on investments into their clubs to make them a big clubs but now the same cartel stopped anyone else , I’m not talking about man city as they are fighting this corruption and anti competitive league in the courts I hope Villa and. Newcastle do the same as it will give smaller clubs the ability to bring in players to compete if their owners fund it ,

Ultimately think PSR is going to allow other european leagues to overtake us as "the best league in the world" Once upon a time it was all about Italian football. All the stars went there, it was readily available to watch. Then the premier league took over it. We're ruining that now, and suddenly with all the money we've already put into the premier league, it'll implode on itself. Suddenly revenue will drop, and clubs can no longer sustain themselves financially because they've adapted to the current income. Down payments through the football league from the prem will reduce. Along with less funding put into the FA and grassroots football. PSR threatens to do the very thing it was supposedly brought in to prevent. As an extra point that I don't believe is being talked about enough, you currently have Newcastle United, with the "richest owners in the world", potentially having to relocate in order to build a bigger stadium purely to increase revenue, that the owners probably have down the side of their sofa. Moving stadium, and tearing out the beating heart of a city, thereby destroying the city's, and countless business', primary means of income. (I don't know why the Newcastle MPs haven't raised this with parliament) PSR is not only restriction of trade, but it is directly impacting the economy of cities and the country as a result.

Same, even £200m wouldn't be enough for me. The only club I can see him actually going to is Barcelona once they have their finances magically sorted. Arsenal aren't enough of a leap (a top four team instead of a team challenging for top 4), City have Haaland, Real Madrid have Mbappé, Italian and German clubs aren't spending that. Its the first time in the history of football owners aren't allowed to put their own money in. All to protect the dividends certain owners who take out of their clubs. How can investment be bad, but loans and debt are good? You're allowed to lose money every year, which could lead to bankruptcy, but we're meant to believe it's to financially protect clubs. They're protecting certain clubs places in the pecking order, but now its having a negative effect on those clubs too. Wont surprise me to see PSR/FFP go in the near future.
