Regarding the single lane highway analogy to Pennsylvania (32m mark).. It suggests driver 1 is driving reckless by going over 100. LMFTFY, Driver 1 is doing the normal/posted 55 Driver 2 is going 25, with his hazard lights on. It's a bit worse though.. behind Driver 2 is a ton of Ambulances, Trucks, etc, that won't make it in time and will suffer/die as a consequence. I did like the book review (26m/28m)!

No, not a good analogy at all. First of all, this isn't a one lane highway (Penn said nothing about that). 2nd, being careful does not cause others to be in danger. 3rd, being not careful puts everyone in danger. Don't be an asshole and wear a mask in public. The infection and death rates are going up again.

The man running into fire to save his child is what a parent would do, however the analogy of coronavirus with baby in burning building does not fit as the parent is risking their life for the child and no one else, the baby in the coronavirus is the rest of us who are not actually in the burning building and now we are all at greater risk from the parent running into the burning building.

For one of the most famous outspoken atheists around Penn certainly seems to be getting more and more dogmatically 'woke' lately. maybe it's just the tds talking.
