ya know, I'm in the 40-year-old ballpark and have to say... a big part about youth is it is the job of the youth to challenge what has been established. There is some very bad things out there, some far more damaging then they seem on the surface like "Trickle-down economics" that have crumbling foundations that need to have a youthful hammer taken to them to show where it is gone wrong. Or stuff like what is going on with cops... which has been a problem for centuries and the problem just keeps mutating rather than getting solved. Then there is other stuff, the little things, that I think young people are not being taught how to voice, "Hey, not cool. You're being an asshole." because the media cashes in on outrage culture. From TV shows that blow up every little dumpster fire as being riots out of control to the bleeding Facebook algorithm feeding it's readers the most hateful stuff because it keeps them reading Facebook. The youth are growing up in the world left to them by their predecessors. It is the job of the youth to challenge what was given to them to see what stands up... and it seems from the days of Socrates to today, it's the job of the older generations to bitch about "Kids today".

I wasn't going to vote for Hillary just because she was a woman, I didn't vote for her because I didn't think she was qualified. I didn't think Trump was qualified so I didn't vote for him either. I was right about Trump and I will never know about Hillary, but at this point I can add to her qualifications that she is not Trump. Neither is Biden and that is why I WILL vote for him.
