You should have spent 5 minutes of research about that, this is an important point, more than where the audio jack has been moved. I have tried the old one (once, one year ago) and the new one just recently, it felt like the new display is less blurry, but I would have loved to get confirmation from your video.

For years people have been complaining about lack of an analog stick on the Move controllers after support for the Navigation controller pretty much went down the drain. Now they've released a new Move controller, and the only difference is the charging port... Great to know Sony is listening to their users.

don't forget! it is a little whiter and a little less see through... i apparently have the og version of the move controllers even though when i got my vr i got the new one... all i can really say is thanks ps3 for giving me all the charging usb's i need for these :D but no seriously though how did i end up with old usb i am really confused how did i get updated headset which i am glad i got the new one because i don't want unplugging headphone crap goin on but anyway how did i get updated headset but not updated move controllers.. again it is not much of a big deal cause again.. quite a few of those usb's lying around but it would be nicer to have that other one because we have millions of them in the house. hell i have a crap ton in my room!

One thing I’m so happy about with the newer version is the cord! The old version the cord was heavy and always got in the way. Then it was damaged from the heaviness. Therefore I seen green lines and the screen would black out. Just got the newer version today and I love it

We have one in our university and tried gaming demos with it and it is not as good for games as VR. You don't have the "in room" feeling like a PsVR has or the others. President C4 Yes you can wear glasses, but as others have said be careful taking on and off the headset! I've already scratched the lenses on two headsets wearing metal frame glasses, now I wear large frame plastic rim glasses so they can't touch the lenses and so far no problems

I'm under the impression that NONE of the people doing comparison videos ever used both headsets. I've owned both and there are differences in the lenses themselves or at least the hardware in the lens portion of the headset. In the newest model you have a more narrow field of view. It looks like you're looking through binoculars which takes away from the immersion. Also, there is large amounts of light bleed in the new headset. You see four lights (one in each corner) during dark or black scenes. This occurred on all three of my PS VR's I owned. I thought I got a bad set when i kept exchanging them for new ones but that' just how they are now. In all honesty, I'm not sure the trade-off is worth it to upgrade for cable convenience.

I had the first one for a year and upgraded to the new one via warranty. The headset does feel lighter overall and is way less weighty, headphones are decent enough quality you don't need over the ear headphones and I'm an audiophile. The less bulkyness at least for me has me playing more. As hooking it up and moving in the room is a lot easier and I don't have to tuck it in my belt or have wires everywhere. I think v2 is def the one to get, but if you have the original and can't get a good trade in deal it's not worth it unless you really have the money. But I def think the new one feels like a more finished product and premium feel.

Great video, thanks for covering the differences. From my perspective, if someone has an existing PSVR V1 there really isnt a whole ot of reasons to go out and trade up to the newer V2. Also, it might be possible now to find V1 a bit cheaper and if you don't care about the differences shown in this video, you can save some money (to buy more games with!).

As others already said, if you have the computer for it, go for an Oculus or a Vive (can't say about Vive, haven't used it enough, but the Rift is cheaper and the controllers feel a lot more natural...but Vive has Fallout 4 and Doom coming soon)

The cost of the new move controller is what's most frustrating in my opinion. To buy the PlayStation move controller new, the only option is the 2 pack which costs $130 CDN. Previously to buy a move controller new for PS3 it cost I think around $40-$50 individually. Luckily I was able to find a used one at EB games for $15 and use that alongside the move controller I had originally bought for PS3.

I just got this revision PSVR last week and I have to say, it's worth it. Having most of the actual interface on the visor is super intuitive. The headset feels lighter thanks to the cable not being partly inside the headband. The cable being one piece prevents that middle box from being damaged each time you use it and I have expensive no random blackouts like the old one. Not really worth the full price of the old, but as part of a bundle it's a great deal. Side note, the new camera version is the same specs, but it does read the headset lights better. Can't wait to get back into PSVR.

@@djgates06 Well you can have the same tech specs, the the outer housing is different, including the lens cover. It might just be an issue of wear and tear, like when headlights cover get opaque. Also the way it's shaped calls for a new way to angle it which can help too. I'm happy either way.

The MOVE V2 has the sign on the middle button and also the SONY text at the bottom of the controller both in black. The old MOVE V1 has them in white. They are the exact same except the V2 has longer battery life and slightly quicker to charge.

Here's some advice for Sony. Put a clip on the chord so it doesn't hang off from your head. I always tuck the chord into my pants or hook it on to my belt. It's not very heavy, but after 10 minutes or so, you do notice it's there. Weighs me down when I want to fly.

I have never has motion sickness in my life till I played Vr and it doesn't seem to matter what head set it is (tried vive and psvr). It is an amazing experience when I first tried it and I want to be able to play it but the motion sickness is too much.

It just takes some getting used to is all. I find if I don't play my vr for a week or so I gotta take a break after an hour of play then the next time I can play for numerous hours, and then after that I'm pretty well set. Also depends on the game and if you stand up/use move controllers and what not. I also can't go on any spinning rides at fair's, even the more basic ones, because I get super motion sick in seconds.

just buy an hdmi 2.0 bi direction switch for like $20 and then you dont have to keep unplugging.. but it will take up 2 hdmi ports on your tv, and will have to switch inputs unless theirs auto switching on your tv....

Psvr1 you can use it with out a TV most of the time. But yes but it loses hdmi out put so you need a TV plugged in to. Psvr2 what they upgraded besides the cables and buttons and the head phones is. YOU dont need the ps4 or ps4 pro connected to a TV you can just use the psvr2 as the TV to play you games watch hulu KZbin Netflix and so on with out it being connected to a TV yeah that is awesome

so my mom broke my psvr 2 (i like to call it that) soo i had to buy another one and i did but it was a used one which wasn’t really the problem but it was the psvr 1. And damn the psvr 2 is way more comfortable like the ear buds plug into the the headset itself not it’s cable, and the cable extension (cable 4) makes the headset heavier. these are small problems but i always suggest if you’re going to buy a psvr buy the psvr 2.

i hated PSVR 1. It was blurry, bad tracking, bad audio, when i plugged in my headphones to the built-in PSVR headphone jack, I could only hear through 1 ear. Don't say it's because of my headphones, it isn't. When i plug it in to anything like my phone, laptop, PC, anything else, it worked perfectly fine. It's something to do with my PSVR. I want an Oculus Quest.. ☹
