Yeah, sensor drift seems to be the biggest issue. Laying flat while the controller syncs (light turns red/purple) and waiting before picking it up definitely helps. Also get your mobile devices out of your pocket and away from the controller :D

There is a third party seller for PS VR Aim Custom Rifle ButtStocks, not only does it feel better with that extra weight its better for Sniping/Precision Shooting. A Must for Games like FarPoint and Firewall.

@@mattakadanjaA Lipo Battery is a Lithium-Polymer Battery. From a user's standpoint it basically has the same properties as a Lithium Ion Battery. Anyways, depleting a Lipo or a Lion battery is definitly bad advice, so I am somewhat unsure about what to think about the rest of the advice given in this video.

The only time I had a tracking issue is when my Ps camera was below my tv...Now the camera is clamped in a multi angle vice that I have attached to a shelf(about 6-9 inches above eye level) slightly pointing down. I'm also about 5-6 feet away from the camera. I can play sitting or standing with no issues.

Best on up of the TV, room pitch dark, and camera shouldn’t be focus on any light but darkness. I get great results.

A word of warning do not place your PS camera on the floor for some odd reason it has trouble tracking the person and it causes drifting I'm not sure why I believe it has to do with Sony still using that old ass shit infrared lasers just like Nintendo Wii and Wii U while compared to Oculus rift HTC Vive and many other wireless VR headset doesn't use invisible infrared lasers Nintendo is the second company I know who still use that old technology but not anymore the Nintendo switch solely relies on Bluetooth motion tracking also found on mobile devices which is also used under Oculus touch and HTC Vive motion controllers and that is why they are better suited for 360 degrees supported games and they don't lose tracking at all even though Sony claims some games support 360 degrees angle but it will still have hard time tracking your motion controllers which is why it's highly recommended to place the PS camera above your TV it really did changed my experience I tried putting it on the TV table but it doesn't work it will give you an out of play area error message I think the PS camera was meant to be mounted above your TV because for some odd reason it has better motion tracking and it's able to see the ground and the whole body plus it also eliminated the drift problem 😍👍

I find if I put it behind my back and then remove it really slowly that is a quick fix for the tracking if its off in a game

You're dead on when it comes to camera placement. I was getting bad drift in Firewall. I raised my camera way up. I stand at a slight angle when facing it. Now it works great most of the time. I'd like to add that it really helps to turn with your thumbsticks instead of turning your body. moving too much will cause it to lose accuracy. But, if it starts to drift, just turn off the controller, turn it back on and you're good.

For me I actually put the camera on top of the TV it helps me get much better tracking which mean I can jump and the camera would still see me but the only problem is when the controller is behind my back

Are you sure about the "magnetometer" ? Usually headsets and game controllers have a "gyroscope" to track the orientation. Why should the aim controller have a different method? Do you have a source for that info? Thx

ExtremCoxer The controller will have accelerometers and a magnetometer. It wouldn’t work if it didn’t have both. Accelerometers only record the acceleration in a particular plane. So a Magnetometer is used to report its position and make it more accurate. Without it you would get position drift very quickly.

Ya from day one I have my camera below my TV now I sit in a game chair but my camera is still below me. I have never had an issue that I could not fix by tilting the camera up and down on the stand. Now I use the camera from my move. I don’t know if the newer one has the same stand or what. I play Firewall then when I switch to Creed I just tilt the camera up. Same goes when I’m standing for Sprint and so on.

I don't think it has anything to do with the setup. If you start with a fully charged Aim controller it will work OK for a while and then start to drift. The setup doesn't change as you play a game. The only thing that does change is the power output of the battery in the AIM. As the battery voltage drops, its power output must fall below the tolerances of the other components, particularly mechanical devices like gyros.

If you want a list of games that support psvr aim controller go to this website www.roadtovr.com/psvr-aim-games-support-compatibility/ thank me later so far I am having the most fun with farpoint Arizona sunshine borderlands 2 VR bravo team firewall zero hour and I'm planning to get chromagun sniper Elite VR but I'm not too impressed how ID software did with doom VFR all of their control scheme is just terrible especially why the fuck doesn't it have left-handed support 😡 the best way to enjoy that game is with a psvr aim controller but there is one thing I hate is the secondary weapon can only be aimed with head tracking not with the aim controller which is really stupid because borderlands 2 VR has dual wielding with aim controller no head tracking otherwise the game is pretty good 😉👍 I believe ID software doesn't know anything about VR gaming they are new to it 😑

Because of the tracking or drift problems, the bottom line is Sony need to do something about the tracking problems the ps vr has, I am now waiting to purchase an Oculus Quest that will not need a pc and has inside out tracking, so I will not be playing ps vr when the Oculus comes out.
