Plus we know he can act, the game was all him. Mocap. This was a great opportunity for him. Considering The Last of Us to me is still my favorite game of all time. It would of been amazing to see him in it as Joel.

maybe, but i think the purity of the story, is what strengthens it. a TV series would be long winded and the way this is enclosed into a single title, a single video game is what makes it so impactful, and emotional. waiting for the next episode of a tv series would detach you from the characters, and their incredible depth in my opinion.

Voice actors are very underrated. They have so much range and can pull off accents extraordinarily well, even while performing in motion capture and this video proves it! I seriously wish Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson appeared in more live action films. I've seen Ashley make a small appearance in The Avengers as the waitress Captain America saved, but she honestly deserves to have a lead role in something live action. Same with Troy Baker.

And that's only with capturing body movements, in the second one, they are also doing motion capture on the actors' faces. Their facial expressions add so much more to their performances. For example, in this you can see Ashley's eye brows move so much more than Ellie's does in the game, adding so much more emotion.

TLOU cutscenes give me goosebumps. The gameplay requires strategic planning to defeat the enemies just likc Metal gear games did. This game has a lot of heart and brings a ton of different emotions to both the actors and the gamers.

In GTA V when Trevor tries vaulting Franklins fence and falls over, Steve Off actually fell over behind the scenes and actually threatened Franklin's voice actor for laughing at him
